Sigh. Proving That There Are Wackos On Both Sides Of The Aisle

I really wanted to go with “Clowns To The Left Of Me, Jokers To The Right,” then I noticed that Cassandra already used that headline. I also wanted to use a different word instead of wackos, but, hey, trying to keep it family friendly since this is being cross posted. Oh, well.

Flipping a coin, heads is Right, tails is left………heads. OK. We’ve seen for years that writing something outlandish will get you traffic. Witness Andrew Sullivan. Now, Newsmax gets their wacko on in this John L. Perry article (looks like Newsmax has dropped it in the memory hole. The Moderate Voice seems to be the site with the majority of it excerpted)

There is a remote, although gaining, possibility America’s military will intervene as a last resort to resolve the “Obama problem.” Don’t dismiss it as unrealistic.

As Cassandra writes “All right, moron. I won’t call it unrealistic. How does batsh*t crazy strike you? But wait! Ooh! A half-hearted attempt to pretend he isn’t saying something reckless and monumentally stupid”

America isn’t the Third World. If a military coup does occur here it will be civilized. That it has never happened doesn’t mean it wont. Describing what may be afoot is not to advocate it. So, view the following through military eyes:

Perry then lists some issues which might, hey, we’re just wondering!, cause a coup by our military.

Will the day come when patriotic general and flag officers sit down with the president, or with those who control him, and work out the national equivalent of a “family intervention,” with some form of limited, shared responsibility?

Um…………… what is “No, Alex?” No matter what Obama’s agenda, no matter what people think of him, he is the President, and has not broken any laws, and has not broken the Constitution. On the bright side, nuts like this will be relegated to the fringe of the Right, with a general provisio to STFU and go away. Those on the left, on the other hand, tend to be celebrated, like this wacko

Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., warned Americans that “Republicans want you to die quickly” during an after-hours House floor speech Tuesday night.

His remarks, which drew angry and immediate calls for an apology from Republicans, were highlighted by a sign reading “The Republican Health Care Plan: Die Quickly.”

Veteran Tennessee Republican Jimmy Duncan abandoned customary reticence to chastise Grayson.

“That is about the most mean-spirited partisan statement that I’ve ever heard made on this floor, and I, for one, don’t appreciate it,” Duncan said.

Republicans called for an apology, but, of course, none was forthcoming. Anyone think there will be any sort of condemnation resolution forthcoming, ala The Joe Wilson Incident? Yeah, me neither.
