Many people outside of the U.S. follow and care about U.S. politics because what your country does affects other countries and their people. For example, because of shortages in Canadian public healthcare, I travel to America when I have a serious medical condition. If Obama takes over healthcare and tries to ruin private options, then myself and many other Canadians will be affected. Actually, my country is now discussing allowing some private care for things like hip surgery and knee replacements because public health care is unaffordable, but the move towards private care will take some time.

The article borrowed generously (actually stole without attribution) from a 1988 "Commentary" article by Paul Johnson entitled, "In Praise of Richard Nixon." Though her article used an English expression "with credit" right from the Johnson article as well as four other passages, she denied the charge though the similarities were either plagiarism or the first case of channelling another man's thoughts. You see, despite supposedly working for Nixon as his "close advisor," she could not think of anything original to write on her mentor. The "WSJ" stated her article would not have been published had they been aware of these remarkable similarities. Plagiarizing and lying are not the attributes of a beautiful conservative woman. Plus, she is not a member of the new media, and her comments about Amsterdam showed she did not learn anything about diplomacy from the 37th President. Then again, by stealing another man's work from (at the time) an 11 year "Commentary" article, she figured no one would remember the source material. Isn't that "tricky?"

Dude, what if he means it. This list is all fine and dandy, but attitude and feel are what make it happen. There is sort of like obvious beauty that we all have seen on magazines. It gets old, predictable. Trust me, I've dwelled in the triteness and still do to some extent, but it is like eating potato chips instead of a wholesome meal. Certain times this beauty hits you, but not in a way that's ever enduring or fulfilling.

This is what I want: Give me something to think about, something to expand my horizons, something that meshes with my own passions. This sort of beauty is mysterious, it can hit you in way that you've never known existed. You try to escape it, but it is like escaping yourself. This sort of beauty challenges your ideas of what beauty is really all about. It adds dimensions to your soul. It is totally subjective. Our lists would all be different. We would begin to laugh at these lists. (Of course, it is good for these women to be recognized for their beauty. These lists do celebrate certain truths. But are these lists absolute truths? No way!)
