If Justin Bieber’s Mom Wasn’t A Christian, She Admits She Would Have Aborted Him

All jokes aside, you’re trying to decide whether or not to have your own child killed, just remember that he could turn out to be the next Justin Bieber.

Pattie Mallette’s position on abortion is clear: Had she not converted to Christianity before getting pregnant as a teen, her pop star phenom son Justin Bieber would have never been born.

But now, with a memoir under her belt and her son’s next album dropping soon, the Stratford, Ont., born mother is carving out a niche as an anti-abortion crusader, amid reports Bieber may not be comfortable with it.

The 37-year-old is the new, public face of a short-film fundraising project to raise at least $10-million for American pregnancy centres, which encourage women to go through with a pregnancy, not terminate it.

There were reports Monday that suggested the pop phenom isn’t pleased with his mother sticking her neck so far out on such a polarizing issue.

“Justin just is very uncomfortable about political issues – especially ones like abortion that are very divisive,” a Bieber “insider” told the Chicago-Sun Times. “He’s all about entertaining his fans with his music and not interested in pushing a political agenda. … Furthermore, I don’t believe he agrees with his mom on this issue.”

Jill Stanek, a prominent American pro-life blogger, said she’s skeptical of whether the “insider” is really in tune with Mr. Bieber’s feelings about his mother’s activism, pointing to a 2011 Rolling Stone interview in which the pop star famously said “I really don’t believe in abortion … It’s like killing a baby.”

There are all sorts of people willing to speculate about what will happen in the 100 years from now because of global warming, but how many are willing to admit that the next Einstein, Martin Luther King or Ludwig van Beethoven have been put to death at the request of his own mother?
