Eric Holder May Have Helped Criminals Murder Hundreds Of People, But He’s The One Who’s Upset…
3 Feb 2012
6:33 am
At a minimum, Eric Holder should have to resign over Operation Fast and Furious. It happened on his watch, in his Justice Department, and people are dead as a result. On the other hand, if Holder actually knew about it, then there should be a serious discussion about whether he should spend time in jail — and he’s not the only one. This is a scandal that’s bigger than Watergate, but it’s being covered up, ignored, and minimized by a mainstream media that’s desperately trying to protect the Obama Administration. …

Jesus Didn’t Call For Socialism
3 Feb 2012
5:44 am
One thing I can’t help but notice about politics is that conservatives and liberals have a very different approach to Christianity. Conservatism is generally friendly to Christianity, while liberalism is actively hostile towards it. Attacking Christianity is frowned upon amongst conservatives, while it happens so often with liberals that they don’t even bat an eye when it occurs. Conservatives often promote Christianity for its own sake, while on the other hand, I’m not sure if I’ve heard a liberal bring up Christianity for any reason other than to attack it …

This Week In Quotes: Jan 27 – Feb 2
3 Feb 2012

You should certainly be aided by all the constitution-writing that has gone one since the end of World War II. I would not look to the US constitution, if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012. I might look at the constitution of South Africa. That was a deliberate attempt to have a fundamental instrument of government that embraced basic human rights, had an independent judiciary… It really is, I think, a great piece of work that was done. Much more recent than the US constitution – Canada …

Mitt And Newt’s Approval Ratings Of Doom Vs. Those Of Past Candidates
2 Feb 2012
4:07 am
Mitt and Newt have been waging an all out negative war against each other and in the process, both candidates have been greatly damaged. How lasting the damage will be after someone wraps up the nomination remains to be seen, but people shouldn’t kid themselves; both Newt and Mitt have extraordinarily bad approval numbers right now (Santorum’s numbers aren’t so hot either, but he has much lower negatives than either Romney or Gingrich and looks to have more room to grow).
Just to give you a little perspective….

Ten Tips For How To Talk On The Radio
2 Feb 2012
12:08 am
I’ve probably put in at least a couple hundred hours of time as a guest on different talk radio shows and podcasts over the last few years and I’ve had a few people lately asking me for some tips. Here are some basic suggestions that can help improve your performance as a talk radio show guest.
1) Keep it short. Some people have a tendency to ramble when they get on the air and they end up giving really long answers. Short answers are almost always better. Make your point, …
The Best Quotes From Henry David Thoreau’s “Walden; or Life in the Woods.”
1 Feb 2012
6:47 am
Thoreau was brilliant and Walden; Or, Life in the Woods (Dover Thrift Editions) is a classic book; so I was glad to finally get around to reading it.
After reading the book, my conclusion is that Walden was quite uneven.
In some places, you marvel at the wonder of Thoreau living off the land, alone, in the midst of breathtaking beauty. In other parts, Thoreau sounds a little like a hippie who took his own silly anti-capitalistic rhetoric about living in tune with nature like an African tribesman a little too …
The State Of The GOP Horserace Post-Florida
1 Feb 2012
6:09 am
Last night, Mitt Romney won a convincing, yet still underwhelming victory in Florida. Even though he had the best organization, outspent Newt 5-to-1, had the media relentlessly shilling for him, and the anti-Mitt vote was split amongst 3 candidates, he still couldn’t crack 50% of the vote. So, yes, Mitt did win a significant victory by a 10+ point margin, but it still underscores his weakness as a candidate. Here’s a guy whose entire candidacy is based on his electability and even with almost every advantage imaginable, he couldn’t …

Why Does The Occupy Movement Approve Of Throwing Condoms At Catholic School Girls?
31 Jan 2012
5:48 am
This isn’t political expression; it’s a fascistic attempt to silence people.
Demonstrators from the Occupy Wall Street movement threw condoms on Catholic schoolgirls, refused to allow a Catholic priest to give a closing prayer, and shouted down a pro-life speaker at a Rhode Island right to life rally on Thursday, according to its organizer. The event marked the third time protesters associated with the movement have disrupted a pro-life meeting in a week.
About two-dozen members of Occupy Providence hiked from Burnside Park to the 39th Annual Pro-Life State House Rally …
Five Reasons So Many Grassroots Conservatives Don’t Like Mitt Romney
31 Jan 2012
4:00 am
My latest Townhall column is called, Five Reasons So Many Grassroots Conservatives Don’t Like Mitt Romney. Here’s an excerpt from the column,
It’s a mystery to some people why so many Tea Partiers and grassroots conservatives can’t stand Mitt Romney. What is it about him that turns them off so much that at one time or another, they’ve preferred Donald Trump, Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, and Newt Gingrich to him nationally despite the fact that he has every advantage in the race? Would Mitt Romney be better …
The Department of Homeland Security Saves America From Two British Kids On Vacation
31 Jan 2012

How is it that this story, which sounds like some kind of bad Saturday Live skit, can actually be the state of national security more than a decade after 9/11?
TWO pals were barred from entering the US after innocent tweets joking about “destroying America” were picked up by the country’s anti-terror cops.
US special agents monitoring Twitter spotted Leigh Van Bryan’s messages weeks before he left for a holiday in Los Angeles with pal Emily Bunting.
Leigh, who also quipped about “digging up Marilyn Monroe” on Twitter, said they were treated like …

The Seven Most Penetratingly Brilliant Quotes Of All Time

My latest PJ Media column is called, The Seven Most Penetratingly Brilliant Quotes Of All Time. Here’s an excerpt from the column.
Some people love cats, other people love music, and I love quotes. I mean, I REALLY love quotes. I’ve compiled more than 100 different collections of quotes, at one time I ran an all quotes website, and I have 5 different brand new Twitter accounts that do nothing but pump out quotes each day — (@capitalismfacts, @selfhelpquote, @testifyChrist, @masculinequotes, and @rightquotations).
So, when I tell you I know quotes — …
The Superhuman Density Of The Liberal Mind When It Sees Something It Doesn’t Want To See — Like Radical Islam.
27 Jan 2012
6:39 am
There’s a famous Time cover from 1992 that hammers home the almost superhuman density of liberal minds when there’s incredibly obvious information present that runs counter to what they want to hear.
Most people figured out that men and women were born different at about 4 years old. For the liberals at Time, however, this was such a stunning revelation that they put it on the cover on their magazine.
So, which liberal magazine is going to figure out that radical Islamists want to kill us because they’re radical Islamists? The early …

What About Newt On Illegal Immigration? (Q&A Friday #111)
27 Jan 2012
5:21 am
Question: “How can you support Gingrich given that he will institute some kind of mass amnesty? Giving citizenship to illegal immigrants is the quickest way to ensure that conservatives never win another election.” — David
Answer: If you’ve been reading Right Wing News for a few years, you know that my position is that I oppose illegals getting any sort of benefit from their illegal activities. So, I don’t agree with Newt (And Mitt, who has the same position if you listen to him closely enough) when they say illegals …
