You get FREE audio and video highlights from this week in conservative talk radio, plus news, transcripts and more.
If you can’t keep up with Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Glenn Beck and other talk radio hosts, here’s your chance to see (and hear) what you missed.
As usual, lots happened after my Thursday night deadline, not the least of which was Obama’s win of the Nobel Prize. As I tweeted that morning, “It’s gonna be a helluva day for talk radio” and ...

Here’s some stuff that happened after my deadline:
SNL spoofed Glenn Beck:

Rush Limbaugh showed up on Jay Leno and got a good reception:

Rush talked about what he wished he’d said to Jay, back on his show on Friday… (FREE transcript).
Meanwhile, Glenn Beck was fetted in his old hometown — but not everybody was pleased…

This thread at HotAir.com turned into an all-out conservative talk radio fanboy/girl convo, with passionate posters tossing around producers’ nicknames, and categorizing talk radio hosts as The Founding Father They Most Resembled, and other fanfic fun.

The answer was: Michael Smerconish.
Who, you ask? Exactly. Why, he’s so “conservative” he supported… Obama for President.
In fact, the indefatigable “Radio Equalizer,” Brian Maloney visited Smerconish’s website, and discovered that the obscure radio host describes himself as… “not that conservative.”

Monday was Memorial Day, so most conservative talk radio hosts took the day off and ran “best of” shows. Dennis Prager prides himself on working such holidays; on Monday, he took calls from listeners who wanted to honor friends and family who died in service of the country. It was a moving three hours.
So I tuned into Tammy Bruce on Monday, since she was one of the few hosts broadcasting live. “If someone’s gonna die for our country,” she announced, “the least I can do is work!”

Boris Johnson, the mayor of London and a one-time controversialist in his own right, insisted that Michael Savage posed no risk to British security, and bemoaned the Home Office’s bizarre decision.
Even Savage’s long time enemy, the Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR), called for the ban to be lifted.

Incredibly, Rush Limbaugh was pushed off the front pages by his fellow radio host Michael Savage.

Miller’s famous monologue at the time marked his the beginning of his turn from left to right; he was clearly moved to hear from the late Admiral’s son after all these years.
This week: Rush Limbaugh made TIME magazines “2009 Top 100″ list, and Glenn Beck wrote a very short tribute to the talk radio pioneer.

Barack Obama’s pick for his new “climate czar”, Carol Browner, is an odd choice for this influential post.
Not because her radical views about global warming and economics don’t line up perfectly with the latest far Left fads, but because her background is marred by incidents of racial discrimination that happened on her watch at her last big Washington job.
Others have already exposed Browner’s high level membership in Socialist International, where she served as a “commissioner.” (In the great Soviet tradition of “disappearing commissars,” Browner’s bio has now been stripped from ...

The long-awaited first book by the National Review‘s deservingly popular young writer didn’t disappoint; not only was it an instant bestseller, but it contributed a new phrase to the conservative vocabulary, and helped many of us understand and discuss political history and theory in a new way.

He’s put together a chart that weighs every President’s experience, from his military service and heroism to his time in public office. If he was a university president or a CEO, that counts too.

The 11-page government report into my activities is a breathtakingly arrogant document. We’ve been overwhelmed and inspired by the support we’ve received from people all over the world. Thanks to freedom loving people like you, we will win.
Obviously I can’t get into the details too much, but luckily, my fellow sue-y, Ezra Levant, happens to be a defamation lawyer, so I’ll leave it to him ...

Some leftist wet was calling conservative radio yesterday, giving this little potted speech about how Rev. Wright can’t be criticized because, hey, Dr. King said similar stuff.
Dennis Prager’s response to the guy was, as always, calm and thoughtful, but I liked Dennis Miller’s better:
“Well, if Martin Luther King really said that “America was the biggest purveyor of violence in the world”, well, then, guess what? He was wrong about that.”
And then he hung up on the guy.

After some initial defiance, the new owners just apologized to a well-known Muslim troublemaker; he’d gone to the police (?!) complaining about anonymous anti-Muslim comments at the blog.
I hope their capitulation isn’t a sign of things to come. I’m talking of course about the other Muslim activists bullying another Canadian magazine, merely for publishing an excerpt of Mark Steyn’s bestselling book, America Alone.

Pat Robertson’s continued high profile has everything to do with the liberal mainstream media’s religious illiteracy and its need for a cartoon character to represent those “Evil Right Wing Christians.”
Falwell is dead, and Dobson isn’t physically charicature friendly and doesn’t have the right (that is, “wrong”) accent, so that leaves Robertson, who, let me remind you, is watched by less than one percent of America’s TV audience.
