Make no mistake that the Tea Party movement IS a war against taxes. This is a money war. There is a power struggle right now about who gets control of the money. The government or the people. My Dad is 1st generation American with his parents emigrating from Germany in the mid 50’s. Having grown up in a post WWII America where Germans were viewed suspiciously and as underclass citizens, his views have definitely been shaped from an interesting perspective. Dad and his siblings were always the “Axis” in Axis and Allies, the “Indians” in Cowboys and Indians. And they always had to lose. Needless to say Dad reflected more on the influence of Hitler than the average American child.

The Nevada Republican Assembly held their Presidential Endorsing Convention today. The event included a Presidential Straw Poll. The NVRA is Nevadas MOST conservative group in the state. Results below will reveal that true conservatives have not given up and that their chosen candidate in the Presidential race IS a conservative.

Christmas is just a couple days away and as a single mom I am under the gun buying those last minute gifts. I feel guilty for not getting my son all he wants and I feel guilty for giving him too much. It is a fine balance between gifts that will enrich him and gifts that will entertain him.
