Man Who Took Massive Carbon Pollution Spewing Trip Vetoes Anti-Climate Change Bills

The cost to the American taxpayer for the Obama’s 2014 Hawaii Christmas vacation was over $3.6 million[1] in transportation costs alone. That doesn’t even cover the cost for all the Secret Service security and their lodgings, nor the cost to the local and state security forces, nor the cost for all the fossil fueled vehicles. But, does this mean anything in the face of ‘Climate change”? To take this trip required two fossil fueled jumbo jets, with multiple military fighter jets accompanying them. Since he decided to do a fly-by in San Bernardino, to make it appear as if he Actually Cared, this required a large fossil fueled vehicle convoy. Then this convoy was again used in Hawaii. Then the cost of all the energy and water used in Hawaii at the palatial estate he and the family are staying at. Remember, Obama’s Earth Day trip to Florida put out 5 times[2] more “carbon pollution” than the average American does all year. Golfing? Bad for climate change. Eating all that imported food in Hawaii? Bad for climate change. Then there’s this

(CBS News[3]) President Barack Obama has vetoed two measures that would have blocked steps[4] that his administration is taking to address climate change.

One would have nullified carbon pollution standards[5] set by the Environmental Protection Agency. The EPA requires the power sector to slash its carbon output by 32 percent by the year 2030.

The second would have voided a set of national standards designed to reduce the amount of greenhouse gas pollution from existing power plants.

In a letter notifying Congress of his decision, the president said climate change is a “profound threat” that must be addressed.

Of course, since Obama is super-busy taking all these fossil fueled trips, he didn’t actually sign the veto. Oh, no, golf was calling, so he used a pocket veto, where he just ignored the legislation for 10 days while Congress was in adjournment, which vetoed it. Seriously, for Obama, what better way is there for him than a measure which requires him to take no action?

Both those Obama executive actions will increase the cost of energy, which will increase the cost of living. Not that this will bother the 1%ers like the Obamas. Fortunately, the squishy Republicans under Paul Ryan will do….nothing to stop Captain Carbon Footprint.

Meanwhile, Warmists were very upset that there were no questions about ‘climate change’ during the debate. No, not the GOP debate, the Democrat debate[6]

Saturday’s Democratic presidential debate began with a question about the ongoingcontroversy over a breach[7] in the Democratic National Committee’s voter database and ended with a question about the changing role of a president’s spouse. In between, ABC News’ David Muir and Martha Raddatz steered the candidates through several substantive issues, from ISIS to taxes to Black Lives Matter. There was one major topic, though, they failed to ask about: climate change.

The only brief mentions of global warming during the entire night came during Bernie Sanders’ opening statement and Martin O’Malley’s closing one, and both of those were largely throwaway lines. “I’m running because we need to address the planetary crisis of climate change and take on the fossil fuel industry and transform our energy system away from fossil fuel to energy efficiency and sustainable energy,” Sanders said at the start of the debate. “The other big challenge we have is climate change,” O’Malley said more than two hours later.

Warmists all over had a collective meltdown over this failure. Of course, had they discussed it, would anyone have seen it, being on a Saturday night, with lots of college and pro football on the TV, and, just being Saturday night? I wonder what the carbon footprint of the Obama/Clinton creation ISIS works out to be?
