Million Vet March on the Memorials

Dissatisfaction with Obama’s regime has been picking up steam, and seems ready to come to a boil as soon as this Sunday:

The Million Vet March on the Memorials will be held Sunday, Oct. 13, at 9 a.m. Eastern at the World War II memorial on the National Mall, the location where rangers under orders from the White House tried, unsuccessfully, to prevent vets from visiting in recent days.

The announcement said the group Special Operations Speaks is organizing the rally because the Obama administration “is using the government shutdown as an excuse to keep our veterans from acknowledging the debt owed to them and their predecessors.”

“This is unforgivable. It is also unjustified, as no taxpayer funds are spent by keeping these shrines open. We will open them ourselves, if that’s what it takes,” said the group, founded by former Navy SEAL Larry Bailey.

Vets are enraged not only because Obama has unnecessarily closed off the World War II, Vietnam, and Korean War memorials as part of his shutdown maneuver, but because the same pretext has been used to shut off compensation to the families of soldiers killed in action.

The Obama strategy is to cause maximum difficulty, then use the Democrat-controlled media to shift blame for it onto Republicans. What it is causing is maximum anger.

Note that the Million Vet March on the Memorials overlaps with the October 11–13 Ride for the Constitution. It’s going to be a hot time in the old District of Corruption this weekend. Patriots don’t have to be vets or truckers to be there and be counted.
