Obama Looks To Patronize Women With A “Female Forum”

Yesterday, The Washington Post[1] wondered whether there is a war on women, or simply a battle for their votes. Obama and the Democrats can’t run on their records: their Stimulus measures were a disaster, they really do not want to talk about Obama’s signature legislation, Obamacare, and Obama’s foreign policy has been weak and, well, a disaster. The only thing he can point out as a success is killing Osama and other jihadis, which pisses off the liberal base. So, Team Obama and their Democrat sycophants have to create phony issues in an attempt to distract from their pitiful record. He chimed in on Augusta National’s men only policy[2], and now he’s going to have a female forum

(CBS News[3]) The White House will host a forum on women and the economy, just as the latest political buzz focuses on the growing gender gap in America.

It’s the talk of cable news – whichever Republican candidate President Obama faces starts from behind with one of the most important group of voters: women.

The White House is clearly aware of the president’s gender advantage – but insists that has nothing to do with today’s Forum on Women and the Economy.

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said in recent briefing with the press, “We’re focusing on women because there are a number of issues that important with regards to women in the economy, women’s safety, women in education, that are very distinct and important. And we’re proud to host the conference.”

Sure thing. This is the same guy who played 23 rounds of golf[4] before bothering to invite a woman to join in

“Women are Obama’s base, and they don’t seem to have enough people who look like the base inside of their own inner circle,” former Clinton press secretary Dee Dee Myers told the Times[5].

In a 2011 article titled “The White House Boys’ Club: President Obama Has a Woman Problem[6],” TIME magazine’s Amy Sullivan detailed the president’s fondness for male-dominated environments.

The Obama White House has been called “hostile environment to women[7] that treats them like meat. But, no, the forum is simply coincidental. And will stick women in the same old boxes, treating them as a voting block, rather than individuals.

Unfortunately, women still voter more for the Democrats than the GOP: the question for women is “do you want to patronized, or empowered?”
