Obama named THIS as a great achievement in United States history

Obama is simply disgusting. And to compare gay rights to the civil rights movement is just obscene. This week he proclaimed a gay bar in NYC as a national monument. Yep, it’s right up there with Booker T. Washington, George Washington’s birthplace, George Washington Carver, the Grand Canyon, the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad, Little Bighorn, President Lincoln’s Cottage at the Soldiers’ Home and the Statue of Liberty. You’ve got to be freaking kidding me. He even had the gall to compare it to patriots who fought for our freedom: “Farmers and blacksmiths who chose revolution over tyranny. Immigrants who crossed oceans and the Rio Grande. Women who reached for the ballot, and scientists who shot for the moon. The preachers, and porters, and seamstresses who guided us toward the mountaintop of freedom.” You know, I do believe we are even worse than Rome was in her final days.

From DownTrend.com:

I honestly believe that gay people have a right to be gay and whatever consenting adults do privately is their own business. But let’s face facts here, the only thing being gay really means is that a person has an abnormal sexual deviancy. For some strange reason, our president seems to be under the impression that homosexuality is one of the greatest achievements in American history.

Obama named a gay bar in NYC a national monument this week. The Stonewall Inn was the site of some gay riots in the late 1960’s and a place some credit with starting the gay rights movement. It’s absurd enough that the President of the United states would designate a bar where men hook up with other men as a national treasure, but where he sees this house of sodomy fitting into American history is downright ridiculous.

In his weekly address, Obama vastly overstated the importance of this gay bar:

The story of America is a story of progress. It’s written by ordinary people who put their shoulders to the wheel of history to make sure that the promise of our founding applies not just to some of us – but to all of us.

He also referred to illegal aliens as patriots. It just makes your blood boil. Then, Obama likens the Stonewall Inn to some of the most significant US historical sites: “Sometimes, we can mark that progress in special places – hallowed ground where history was written – places like Independence Hall. Gettysburg. Seneca Falls. Kitty Hawk and Cape Canaveral. The Edmund Pettus Bridge. One of these special places is the Stonewall Inn.” This is just blasphemous all the way around. It goes far beyond pandering. As DownTrend put it: “Yeah, that’s pretty much American history in a nutshell: signing the Declaration of Independence, the Civil War, women get the right to vote, man flies, man goes to the moon, the Equal Rights Amendment, and a gay riot.” I kind of doubt that it will be a major tourism stop for families. The world is burning down around us and this is what Obama focuses on. Priorities much? Or maybe, it’s all about his priorities.
