Spike Lee: Obama’s Gotta Go Off!
Spike Lee is in the news again and it’s not for making one of his increasingly awful movies. Remember when he made good films? Ok, me neither. But, I kind of liked She’s gotta have it. Not enough to watch it twice or : anything, but we’re starting: to: get : off track here,
“One time, go off!” director Spike Lee urged on CNN’s “AC 360:°.” “If there’s any one time to go off, this is it, because this is a disaster.”
Lee’s sentiment echoes the frustration of people who want to see Obama get loud, take charge and inspire them like he did during his presidential run.
Yes, Obama needs to shake his fist at the oil well, scream “RARRRRRRRRRRRR” as loud as possible and then what exactly? Is the oil going to withdraw back into the ground in terror because of “The One’s” awful fury? No. It won’t do a single thing to fix the problem, but — and here’s the key for liberals — it will help create the illusion that Obama looks at the oil spill as something other than a giant distraction from his efforts to socialize America. That was the point of the whole : “plug that damn hole” leak. See, he cares about something…..besides himself.
Ever notice that the only thing that ever genuinely seems to get Obama fired up is criticism that’s aimed at him personally? Trash America and he may bow to you. An Obama spill trashes the Gulf? He goes golfing. But, aim some criticism his way? Then he starts to seethe. Then some emotion starts to leak out of that empty suit. Sorry, : America, but that’s just how narcissists roll and Obama’s not even good at pretending to care about other people’s problems. Maybe he can ask Bill Clinton to teach him how to bite his lip and appear sad on cue and then, the problem is solved! Well, for liberals.
