Susan Rice for National Security Advisor
After appointing the treasonous Hanoi John Kerry as Secretary of State, the Cindy Sheehan-esque barking moonbat Chuck Hagel as Secretary of Defense, and Islamophile John Brennan as head of the CIA, it has become so hard for Obama to continue to push the envelope regarding his open contempt for America’s national security interests that he may even resort to placing them in the hands of the disgraced liar Susan Rice:
Rice has emerged as far and away the front-runner to succeed Thomas E. Donilon as President Obama’s national security adviser later this year, according to an administration official familiar with the president’s thinking. The job would place her at the nexus of foreign-policy decision making and allow her to rival the influence of Secretary of State John F. Kerry in shaping the president’s foreign policy.
The appointment would mark a dramatic twist of fortune for Rice, whose prospects to become the country’s top diplomat fizzled last year after a round of television appearances in which she provided what turned out to be a flawed account of the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya.
That “flawed account” consisted of touring the Sunday talk shows five days after Benghazi to tell brazen, preposterous lies about how the terror attack that killed four Americans including an ambassador was actually not a terror attack but the result an obscure American-made YouTube video.
No one fished out of the Beltway cesspool would be likely to do a worse job as National Security Advisor than Susan Rice. That is her primary qualification.
Here’s how the Regime rehabilitated Rice after the Benghazi debacle:
Last month, Rice marked her reentry onto the national political stage with an appearance on Comedy Central’s “Daily Show” with Jon Stewart, a sympathetic host who denounced the “malevolence” of her Republican critics and urged her to respond with her trademark cussing. “What would you say to them?” he asked. “And feel free to talk like a sailor.”
What a disgusting farce liberals are making of our once proud country.
Nausea and self-contempt are only the beginning of the price America may pay for this. As Benghazi so graphically reminded us, al Qaeda is happy to exploit the disgraceful state of our “leadership.”
Discover the Networks provides some insight into how profoundly unsuited Rice is for the position:
In 1996 Rice helped persuade President Clinton to rebuff Sudan’s offer to turn Osama bin Laden, who was then living there, over to U.S. authorities. Rice reasoned that because Sudan had a poor human-rights record, the U.S. should have no dealings with that nation’s government — not even to obtain custody of the al Qaeda leader or to receive intelligence information on terrorists from Sudanese authorities. She viewed such intelligence as inherently untrustworthy. Bin Laden subsequently moved his terrorist operations to Afghanistan, from where he would mastermind the 9/11 attacks.
At least her socialist bona fides are in order:
Reasoning (contrary to much strong evidence) from the premise that poverty breeds terrorism, Rice believes that U.S. taxpayers should fund nearly $100 billion per year of new-development-aid programs under the auspices of the United Nations’ Millennium Development Project — a massive wealth-redistribution initiative designed to transfer money from the world’s developed states to its poor states, many of them in Africa.
Spreading the wealth around doesn’t just mean giving your money to Obama’s base; it means buying new palaces for collectivist dictators in every stinking Third World hellhole our rulers can find, until America itself is a stinking Third World hellhole.
With moonbats in charge, security interests don’t take a back seat; they go under the bus.
