While 132 Parisians were being slaughtered by ISIS in France and over 350 injured, Obama took advantage of the emergency and released five more from Gitmo. Just like he did right after the Charlie Hebdo atrocity. Seven were killed in France and Obama thoughtfully replenished their ranks. The prisoners were sent to the United Arab Emeritus. There are still 107 prisoners left at Gitmo, but Obama is working on a plan to free them all and close the base. He will probably then gift it to the Cubans and the Russians will open shop there. Don’t you feel safer?

WASHINGTON – Five detainees at the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, were transferred to the government of the United Arab Emirates, the U.S. Defense Department said on Sunday.
The transferred detainees were identified by the Pentagon as Ali Ahmad Muhammad al-Razihi, Khalid Abd-al-Jabbar Muhammad Uthman al-Qadasi, Adil Said al-Hajj Ubayd al-Busays, Sulayman Awad Bin Uqayl al-Nahdi and Fahmi Salem Said al-Asani.
The Pentagon said 107 detainees remained at the Guantanamo prison for suspected foreign militants.
The Defense Department is expected soon to unveil a long-awaited plan outlining how it would close the detention center at Guantanamo despite fierce resistance to shuttering the facility in Congress.
In February, one week after the Paris Charlie Hebdo attacks, Barack Obama also released five Gitmo detainees.

The latest release of five prisoners includes a suspected bodyguard of Osama bin Laden. The men released have been at Guantanamo Bay for more than 13 for a reason. The five Yemeni men were accepted for resettlement in the Persian Gulf nation after U.S. authorities determined they no longer posed a threat, the Defense Department said in a statement. Right. Every one of these murdering scum Obama has released has immediately gone back to killing others. Most of the five men are described as low-level fighters in American military assessments. Al-Razihi, however, was suspected of being a possible bodyguard to al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden. The task force recommended continuing detention for al-Razihi, saying that he had been a bodyguard for Osama bin Laden and that he probably fought against the rebel Northern Alliance prior to the U.S. invasion. The task force also described al-Razihi as a “medium [security] risk [who] may pose a threat to the US, its interests, and allies.” However, the task force’s recommendation in Razihi’s case was overruled by a parole-like review board that recommended him for transfer. As Katie Pavlich notes this move comes not just hours after the Paris attacks, but just days after Congress overwhelmingly passed a defense spending authorization that forbids any resources being used for closing Gitmo. This is a signal to Congress over Obama’s commitment to closing Gitmo. Hot Air puts it well: “Given the proximity of the release to the attacks in Paris, it looks more like a signal of the Obama Administration’s steadfast desire to disentangle itself from the fight against ISIS, a fight that the administration insists needs no changes to its current strategy of pinpricks and wheedling of others to fight instead.” You are supposed to release prisoners when war is finished, not during the conflict. They will go straight back to the enemy and take up the fight where they left off. Just as Obama intended.
