You Will Cheer When You See How These Conservative Lawmakers Shred Obama Over Sgt. Tahmooressi

There has been persistent nationwide outrage over Obama’s complete lack of action regarding Sgt. Tahmooressi, injustly imprisoned in Mexico under terrible conditions. Now that Tahmooressi has been finally freed — no thanks to Obama, of course — two Republican lawmakers shredded him for not lifting a finger to help.

Representative Matt Salmon, who has long worked for Tahmooressi’s release, spoke with TPNN in September and noted,

“I think that if the president made this a priority and personally made a phone call to the president of Mexico, I think it would be done in a nanosecond…It says that he’s more interested in golf than he is taking care of Americans.”

Rep. Salmon, in an interview with Newsmax, noted that the President and his administration “didn’t lift a finger” to help Tahmooressi.

“You have to be clear on when we say the administration,” the Arizona Republican cautioned in an interview. “The people from the White House? Zero help.”

… Salmon’s sentiment was echoed by California Republican Rep. Dana Rohrabacher who has blasted Obama for his unwillingness to intervene.

“The president, who is also the commander in chief, didn’t do his job,” Rohrabacher said. “There is a lack of concern for this man, for this American hero who served our country. As commander in chief he showed a total disdain and non-interest in an American hero who served us in Afghanistan and a total disregard for the fact that he was suffering.”

Rohrabacher noted that the Commander-in-Chief had gone “AWOL” in this fight and explained,

“The president not stepping forward was a slap in the face to veterans. The president didn’t care about it enough to make a simple phone call.”

Obama was willing to release a bunch of terrorists in order to secure the freedom of a deserter and suspected terrorist sympathizer. But help a Marine who was the victim of profound injustice and whose freedom was at stake? Nope, Obama’s not interested in that.
