University Now Stocking The Men’s Bathroom With FREE…
We ALL should be asking… where do they get the money for this freebie? In my whole life, I could never have imagined that the men’s room would be set up with a FREE tampon dispenser. I don’t see anyone offering me free tampons in the women’s restroom. The obnoxious administration at this university has become the third in the country to offer free tampons in men’s rooms on campus.
It seems that the University of Wisconsin-Madison will be rolling out a pilot program to offer tampons free of charge in women’s restrooms on the campus too. LOVE IT! But they went a little further and the men’s restrooms will offer them as well. Three campus buildings are offering free women’s hygiene products and they will be offered in men’s bathrooms as well in one of those buildings, the Red Gym.
Proud school spokesman, Steve Wagner explained that, “Menstrual products will be available in all of the bathrooms of the Red Gym so that they are available to any student who might need them.”
It turns out that the Red Gym is the home of the school’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Campus Center and Multicultural Student Center, among other offices. For some reason, the student leaders have pushed for the program because several other Big Ten schools decided to offer free menstrual products.
Student representative Katrina Morrison, “It’s definitely a deficit and an unnecessary burden for [anyone] to have to go and purchase menstrual products. Having them be free and readily available in campus buildings is definitely a necessity.”
Some news sources are correcting their articles that call the tampons ‘women’s hygiene’ products to ‘menstrual products’, to protect transgender men who are on their menstrual period from feeling alienated. This is no joke… we humans have got to face it, men and women now have periods. Your argument that only a woman can have a period is… wait what’s that you say? Science proves that ONLY WOMEN have periods and that the men having periods are actually women born with female reproductive organs? Thanks science for clarifying that.
In John Hawkins’ new book ‘101 Things Young Adults Should Know’, he explains why men should embrace their masculinity and women should embrace their femininity, which may or may not help the disaster of dispensing tampons in the men’s room. Not sure if embracing them at the same time could be confusing to college students.
