Carrie Underwood Was Asked, ‘Who Will You Vote For?’ Her Answer Made Liberals FURIOUS
Carrie Underwood says she loses all respect for celebrities who back political candidates. Smart girl. And she wouldn’t be bated into saying what she thought of Obama either. Smart twice. Underwood feels that people should make up their own minds on who to vote for and should not be swayed by the opinion of someone famous. It’s also a smart move career wise. Remember what happened to the Dixie Chicks? Their career ended with a really loud thud because they couldn’t keep their liberal opinions to themselves. Underwood has far more brains and savvy than that. I applaud her for her stance.
America’s sweetheart, Carrie Underwood, has a brutally honest message for celebrities who endorse presidential candidates.
In an interview with TV Guide, the 32-year-old country star said she loses “all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate.”
Although Carrie is an outspoken conservative, she refused to reveal her favorite presidential candidate. A class act as always, Carrie is well aware of the influence she has on her audience and doesn’t use her celebrity platform to manipulate the public’s political views – unlike the notorious Obama and Hillary cheerleaders in Hollywood.
I’m sure her answer is really making liberals furious. Good. Carrie Underwood’s classic response is perfect when asked why she won’t endorse a candidate: “It’s saying that the American public isn’t smart enough to make their own decisions. I think everybody needs to go check out what the candidates are all about and make an informed decision on their own. I would never want anybody to vote for anything or anybody just because I told them to. Music is where you go to get away from all the BS. Whether it’s from politics or just the world around you, music should be an escape.” That’s exactly right. We should each research the candidates and make up our own minds. That’s what freedom is all about and why your vote is so important. Carrie Underwood seems to get what most of Hollywood doesn’t.
