Denzel Washington just totally obliterated the narrative of victimhood in the “minority” community. While he was speaking to journalists about his newest movie, “Roman J. Israel, Esq,” he dropped a truth bomb that so few are willing to listen to nowadays.
What is shocking to me is the audacity Denzel had to blame[2] the high rates of black incarceration on not racism. It sounds like he is ignorant when it comes to the plight of the black man in this country. Did you know that they used to be slaves? It’s like Denzel brushes over all that with his, “it starts with the family” talk.
No Denzel, I refuse to let you be a part of the wrong side of history. What would coach Herman Boone say? Everywhere we go, people want to know who you are Denzel. So, are you going to tell them that you are a proud black man or are you going to keep telling them about the titans of oppression in the system?
Okay, all kidding aside. I don’t really care about this story. It’s kind of boring talking about how hypocritical leftists are. Did you see the tweets they fired at Denzel after his comments?
“It starts with how you raise your children. If a young man doesn’t have a father figure, he’ll go find a father figure,” the 62 year-old said. “So you know I can’t blame the system. It’s unfortunate that we make such easy work for them.”
The horror. Telling people to take personal responsibility. I cannot believe this guy. And coming from a position of privilege himself. I can’t even.
He talked about how his movie would be received after he basically showed himself to be a neo-nazi, internalized whiteness, patriarchy loving, race-traitor. “I just do what I do,” he said. “I can’t be concerned. I don’t know what they’re going to think, so that’s not something that comes into my head … If it’s something I’m interested in, then I do it if I can, and we’ll find out what they think about it.”
The grotesque historical revisionism enabled by el penedejo #DenzelWashington[3] & his tired revival of respectability politics is a sign of fear & desperation by bourgeois entertainersOC because they see the changes & have no intellect to comprehend as jesters of the ruling class.

This guy gets it. What could scream “against the system” more than despising “bourgeoisie entertainment?”
