James Cameron, Mega-Climate Creationist, Chickens Out On Debate
Written By : William Teach

Some are comparing him to the Goracle, but, really, Gore refuses to debate to start with

Hollywood director James Cameron challenged three high profile global warming skeptics to a public debate at a global warming and energy conference. But Cameron backed out of the debate at the last minute after environmentalists “came out of the woodwork” to warn him not to engage in a debate with skeptics because it was not in his best interest.

Cameron challenged Andrew Breitbart, Climate Depot’s Marc Morano and filmmaker Ann McElhinney of ‘Not Evil Just Wrong.’ The debate was already in the program for the Aspen American Renewable Energy Day (AREDAY) summit. The website program described the agreed to debate as “AREDAY Climate Change Debate: Reality or Fiction?”

After setting up the public global warming debate, Cameron and his negotiator then changed formats multiple times and initially said it would be open to the media and then said he would only participate if it was private with no recording devices. The skeptics agreed to all the changes. According to AREDAY organizers, activist Joseph Romm of Climate Progress urged Cameron not to go ahead with the debate as well.

Cameron’s cancellation of the agreed to debate did not happen until one debate participant (Morano) was already in mid-air, flying from DC to Aspen on Saturday August 21 to attend the debate. (AREDAY did grant Morano a 90 minute slot to speak at the summit. See: Climate Depot’s Presentation at Warmists’ Summit Met By Hostile Interrupting Moderator and Crowd; Call for Morano to Kill Himself!)

Anyone surprised? Climate creationists rarely debate, because they know that the “deniers” facts will trump the Believers emotions every time. And, notice that Cameron refused to allow recording devices, the media, and the public.

Ann McElhinney further slams Cameron

I was looking forward to debating with the film maker. I was looking forward to finding out where we agreed and disagreed and finding a way forward that would help the poorest people in the developing and developed world.

But that is not going to happen because somewhere along the way James Cameron, a great film maker, has moved from King of the World to being King of the Hypocrites.

Say, I wonder what kind of plane Cameron used to get to the conference?

Maybe Cameron has been taking bitch lessons from anAL GOREtentive since neither seems willing to debate with AGW skeptics

The science is settled! Debate is futile. Now we must surrender our wealth and freedoms to the state. There is no time to think, just act!

Which is really the point. It's not and never has been about science. It's all about control.

Yep. The “workers of the world unite” slogan ain't so popular anymore so they needed something new to stir people up.

Cameron lost any and all credibility when he jetted to Brazil to protest a hydropower plant…the cleanest form of energy in the world.

He's another hypocritical enviro-wahabbist, demanding the proles live in poverty and squalor while he lords over them in his mega-mansion with his private jet and limousine. “I'm king of the world!”…yeah right.

Ah yes, the true sign of a valid scientific theory: it's inability to hold up to public scrutiny.

Oh yeah, and it needs to be promoted by entertainers. They really know their stuff.

To be sure, Cameron's cancellation of this debate doesn't prove the failings of the warmist side of the debate any more than his 'winning' the debate would have proved the failings of the sceptic side of the debate. At most it could have proved him a better debater than any of the other three. But I suspect his cancellation resulted from a sudden realisation that he couldn't prevail and that his egotistical and machismo challenge was about to backfire on him in a big way.

The thing is that I don't watch his films and I don't really care about the Titanic. For me, James Cameron is just another super-wealthy elitist who lives a life completely and utterly removed from almost everything mainstream people experience, while he thinks his success in life gives him licence to pontificate to us proles how we should live.

Sorry, I don't have time for empty suits like him.

Like most alarmists, Cameron doesn't know all that much about the topic, he's just convinced that since all the “right” people hold it, then it must be true and he'll repeat whatever he's told. When pressed to defend these beliefs, well he's not up to the task.

Cameron wanted to prevent global warming by not allowing electronic devices that could potentially release CO2 when manufactured.
At the end, in the interests of the world, he decided not to expend any energy and prevent the release of more CO2 in the atmosphere.
You right wingers/bushitlernazis/racists/gun clingers dont understand HIS and mr Obama's wisdom.
