VIDEO: Tom Selleck Blows Us Away by Sharing What it Really Means to Support Our Troops

With so many celebrities trashing the military after the release of “American Sniper”, it’s nice seeing one speak out in support of our troops. Tom Selleck, himself a veteran, spoke up in defense of our vets and urged Americans to put their politics aside and support them no matter what.

Before we knew and loved him as Magnum P.I. or NYPD Police Chief Frank Reagan on Blue Bloods, Tom Selleck was serving his country as a soldier in the 160th Infantry Regiment of the California Army National Guard from 1967-1973.

So he knows a thing or two about what it means to support our troops. In fact, he went on record reminding people of the importance of supporting our men and women in uniform when he appeared at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

“We need to welcome our troops home regardless of whether you got political problems with whatever mission they’re on. They just served and we need to thank ‘em for it,” said Selleck. And we don’t think he could have said it any better!

More celebrities need to realize that Selleck is right. These celebrities, so happy to insult service members despite the enormous sacrifice our troops make, have not contributed even a tiny percentage to our country than what our troops have and really, have no room to talk.
