When Hillary Clinton lost in November to Donald Trump, liberals immediately began looking to find their next Chosen One. And because political dynasties are all the rage, it was only natural for liberals to anoint Chelsea Clinton as their next savior. And the media is a willing accomplice, promoting her in puff piece after puff piece… but unfortunately for libs, most people aren’t falling for it.
There have been all kinds of rumors swirling around Chelsea over the past few months. Many on the left are hoping that she will run for public office soon and carry on the Clinton legacy. What she’s done to earn a political career — or really, just about anything — is a mystery, but she’s got the Clinton last name and evidently, that’s all that matters.
“Variety” magazine just released their “Power of Women” issue and of course, Chelsea was the one chosen to be on the cover. What’s powerful about her, beyond being the offspring of two corrupt career politicians? Who cares?
How cool does Chelsea Clinton look on our Power of Women, NY, cover? Read her great interview with @RaminSetoodeh in tomorrow's issue! pic.twitter.com/M4cj9gXdEk
So, to “Variety” powerful women consist of the rich child of a political couple, a couple of actresses, Oprah Winfrey’s best friend and a media executive? No wonder the response was less than thrilling.
@Variety_Claudia@RaminSetoodeh Like some snotty rich kid who nearly the whole school hates, trying to look cool in a brand-new leather jacket. THAT'S "how cool".
Chelsea Clinton probably doesn’t see any harm in accepting all the media attention and fawning adulation from liberals, all the handouts and plush six-figure jobs she didn’t earn. But the thing is, all of it is meaningless, because she didn’t earn it.
In John Hawkins’ new book, ‘101 Things Young Adults Should Know’, he teaches that when it comes to life, your attitude should be, “If I didn’t earn it, I don’t deserve it.”
