Simple Questions: If Tea Parties Are Racist Because The People Attending Are Mostly White….

* Are newsrooms racist because they’re mostly white?

* Is Kos’ Netroots Nation racist because it’s mostly white?

* Are the Senate Democrats racist because their caucus is mostly white?

* If the crowd at an opera is mostly white, does that make it racist?

* How about a rap concert? Is Jay-Z a racist because most of the people showing up at his concerts are black?

* Some of the pro-immigration rallies that have been held have been attended overwhelmingly by Hispanics? Does that make them racist?

* If there are different answers here, are there any reasons for the different answers besides the fact that liberals hate conservatives and lie about us being racists because they believe it benefits the Left politically?

Let's also look at Sharpton's elevation to fame, the Tawana Brawley case. She was a girl who made up a story about police brutalizing her, which was proven fake, just like the Duke Lacrosse team's slander. I also question just HOW many white people work in his organization, and since he uses the title “Reverend”, what seminary did he graduate from??

That's a cowardly move to try to force the people who disagree with you to the margins of “they think we're racist because we're mostly white.” You have to know full well that's not true. I just know quite a few of the tea party supporters where i'm from, come with blatantly racist and hateful messages regarding immigration, healthcare or welfare in general. They're plain hurtful. And they're usually wrinkly old rednecks who don't know any better; not even mad at them. NOW anyone who tries to spin that into, “you're all racist” is clearly wrong, short-sighted and dumb, but to claim that's what every liberal thinks and attack it like it's a serious position against yours is just as dumb. It's a waste of time to think up this position, and it's a waste of time better spent giving the subject real thought to bother defending against it. I guess it's a foreseeable result of asking “simple (stupid) questions” about a complicated issue.

Who's “forcing”? The left has been throwing accusations of racism at this rally for precisely this reason since it was announced. Read the threads on this very site and you'll find plenty of liberals throwing racism accusations around because of the racial makeup of the rally, contrary to your claim that we are “thinking up this position”.

The only possible reason you would claim that we are “forcing” people into this position is if you're simply not paying attention.

I'll ask you not to argue from a position of ignorance in the future.

I have been to national and local tea party events and you are flat out full of $h_ _ that you have encountered racist old rednecks. Just because people believe that illegal immigration should be stopped because illegal immigrants take jobs from legal American citizens (especially when unemployment is over 10% and 17% in some large cities) does not make them racist you moron.

I think it would be safe to say that 95% of progressive media, entertainment and politicians in this country are white. According to their standard for racism . . . they are racists.

Well: immigration – wrinkly old white people created the Constitution (Ben Franklin comes to mind). Mexicans created Mexico. Health care: wrinkly old white people have been paying into Medicare for years; UNLIKE Medicaid recepients who don't. (And the old white people support Medicaid, too.)
