Who’s Afraid of Jesse Jackson?
Written By : John Hawkins

One of the fascinating things about Jesse Jackson is that there’s a complete mismatch between the level of holy terror he generates in politicians & corporations and the actual amount of real world influence he has.

The myth of Jesse Jackson says he’s a black American leader and if he’s not happy, tens of millions of black Americans aren’t happy either. The reality is that even a large majority of black Americans seem to view him as a camera hogging hustler whose first priority is his own wallet.

If you want to see a perfect example of that, let’s take a look at his laughable comments about Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert. Gilbert was hurt and betrayed by the circus act James put on while he was leaving Cleveland. He publicly hammered James. Here are Jesse Jackson’s moronic comments about the incident,

(Gilbert’s) feelings of betrayal personify a slave master mentality. He sees LeBron as a runaway slave. This is an owner employee relationship — between business partners — and LeBron honored his contract.

Yes, poor Lebron. Getting obscenely wealthy playing basketball for a living is obviously just like being forced to pick cotton, getting whipped, and living in a shotgun shack you’re not allowed to run from under the penalty of death.

So, Jesse Jackson said something stupid. Nothing unusual there. But his comments were so dumb that they started trending on Twitter. The people who are frightened of Jackson? It would do them a world of good to read through the thousands of comments talking about what an idiot Jackson is, most of which came from other black Americans. Here are a few typical responses,

MattBinder: LeBron James would’ve been invited to play the Homerun Derby, but Jesse Jackson would probably say something about him working in a field.

WatchJ: Hey @God its me again…Can we PLEASE trade u Jesse Jackson & Jermaine Jackson for Michael Jackson…

king_cheetah: Jesse Jackson releases statement to reassure America that he’s still irrelevant…

jyates23: So it turns out Jesse Jackson thinks Dan Gilbert’s letter about Lebron was racist… Imagine that

tryguy3: Hey Jesse Jackson are all of George Steinbrenner’s “slaves” free now? RIP George

SS_Hurricane @gusto903 for $80mil they coulda wrote ‘Kunta’ on the back of my jersey & 4head! Jesse Jackson jus wanna b n da news cause #obamagettingitin

twi_ttered: Jesse Jackson defended #LeBron & called Cav owner a slave master. Hey Jesse, the difference btwn a slave & LeBron is @ $65mil – idiot!

curvyandcaramel Jesse Jackson can’t talk about nobody, at least Gilbert didn’t want to cut Lebron nuts off

425talker: If I ever get in some trouble/controversy please Jesse Jackson don’t help me

StatikBanks: Whenever Jesse Jackson talks, a puppy dies….

Jesse Jackson reminds me of that classic quote from Army of Darkness: “I got news for you pal, you ain’t leading but two things right now, Jack and sh*t. And Jack left town.”

How pissed must he be right now? Not only did we get a black president that took a lot of the wind out of his sail, but in addition every mainstream media outlet, democrat, and leftwing blogger of note is stealing his whole “I see racism everywhere” bit.

What's he have left? Not much. Hence outbursts like this.

Jesse Jackson stops invasion! Aliens from the planet Ringulat were planning an invasion of the Earth. However, after they translated Jackson's speeches, they decided that was punishment enough for the people of the Earth.

So let me get this straight, a man of colour makes more per year than some small nations just for being good at a silly game, and Jesse Jackson finds racial injustice? I wonder what it's like going through life sucking a field lemon all the time.

Mr. Jackson, with all respect due you, go find another yourself another fame-blinded star-f*cker to impregnate and leave the rest of us alone.

Oh I dunno. I don't think he actually believe any of it. This is all just a show he puts on for money. In a different era he'd be selling snake oil. He wouldn't actually think the snake oil cures anything but he'd have to trouble pretending to sift out the gullible 5% of the population willing to give him money for it.

Perhaps you're familiar with the following quote from Booker T Washington:

There is another class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs — partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs…There is a certain class of race-problem solvers who do not want the patient to get well, because as long as the disease holds out they have not only an easy means of making a living, but also an easy medium through which to make themselves prominent before the public.

Sounds like there were many Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons back in his day, too. BTW that quote is from My Larger Education, Being Chapters from My Experience which was published in 1911.

Hadn't read the exact quote but I've seen it paraphrased.

Smart guy, apparently also stuck with dealing with these a**holes.

I wish we could simply take all the racists (actual ones, not the 95% of the population at one time accused of it) and perpetual race-baiters and scammers (the democrat party et al) and give them an island with plenty of guns and just let nature take it's course.

Think how much better the world would be if we were left with people who didn't care about race and just wanted to take care of their own problems and live their lives.

    DEMOCRAT LOVE OBJECT…RACISM

Here we are in mid-2010 and the demo-socialists have shown how America goes since they took Congress in 2007. Quick, cue the distraction.
Now its time for their best ploy, their ole faithful, their trusted smear distraction…and the winner is….”racism” (again).

Thinking voters know my theory that “all democrats have are distractions, lies and smears to promote or protect their beloved secular socialism” is validated once more.

Racism is such a precious demo-distraction from actually explaining the meltdown of America and their kook policies. It works every time its tried.
Being democrats, they are not bound by ethics or morals so the blizzard of lies has again appeared. Now talk radio and TV are distracted somewhat from the failed secular socialist bills pushed thru by the democrats to buzz on about racism. We are subjected to the usual demo-liars pretending its 1850 to deliberately excite democrat pet voters so they show in November. Sound like a rerun? You bet.

The “victim worship” train has left the station for another pre-election ride thru the fawning media. The Tea Party is not backing off from demanding fiscal sanity from the democrat congress. This stance is a mortal sin so they MUST be smeared by the faithful cadre of lying clowns.
    Insert big yawn here.

Democrats can’t fool all thinking people all the time but they sure try.

Gilbert, if anything, probably babied Lebron way too much while he was in Cleveland. I think that was his biggest mistake. He made some really stupid moves and now here comes Jesse Jackson to his rescue by doing something even dumber.
