Global Warming? Give It Up
Written By : Dave Blount

It may seem that if they could pass off FDR as a great president, Hitler as a conservative, the Tet Offensive as a grand victory for communism, and Barack Obama as qualified to run the country, there is absolutely no lie too preposterous for our liberal elite ruling class to ram down our throats. But even NBC ought to realize that it’s time to pull the plug on the global warming hoax. They can’t even totally suppress the ClimateGate emails that reveal the “crisis” as deliberate fraud; how are they going to hide this:

Britain
When Britain woke up on the first day of the New Year it was met with freezing cold temperatures, feet of snow in places and the promise of travel chaos. And now, three days into 2010, forecasters have warned to expect continued snowfall for the next 10 days…

Swiss Alps
A series of weekend avalanches in the Swiss Alps killed at least five people, including a rescue doctor swept up while searching for a group of buried skiers. …heavy snowfall in recent days have prompted officials to warn of a heightened avalanche risk in the Swiss Alps.

America
Freezing weather gripped large parts of the United States early this morning – with no relief in sight for the rest of the week. Wind chill took the temperatures in Minneapolis, Minnesota, down to -17C. While the upper Midwest is used to frigid weather, the sunshine state Florida is also suffering freezing temperatures. … Along with the dangerously cold temperatures, residents in Montana are braced for blizzard conditions with snowfall of 12 to 20 inches possible across parts of the state. … In the Northeast, the Weather Service warned that a large storm off the New England coast would continue to bring heavy snow to much of central New York state.

China
Snow storms today have caused chaos in China’s capital of Beijing, grinding aeroplanes to a halt and causing severe traffic delays. Around 90 per cent of all flights were either delayed or cancelled, leaving thousands of passengers stranded. … The snow shows no sign of stopping, however, and temperatures are expected to drop to -16C in Beijing on Monday and Tuesday, causing more problems for those attempting to returning to work after a three-day New Year holiday.

India
Not a country usually associated with snow, India has experienced severe problems since Saturday when snowfall and a dense blanket of fog began to cause chaos. More than 30 people died in cold-weather related incidents in Northern India over the past 24 hours, with 10 of those losing their lives in train accidents caused by the fog. … Meanwhile, 24 homeless people have also died in the Uttar Pradesh state since Saturday due to the severe drop in temperature. Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir were all hit with heavy snow, while Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi also recorded snowfall over the past 24 hours.

Russia
Russia saw temperature lows of a chilling -20C in Moscow today.

Germany
The snow caused more problems with flights in Germany, with one jet veering off the runway at Dortmund airport in western Germany.

Austria
While they are much more accustomed to dealing with snow, even native Austrians were struggling to cope with the freezing lows of -8C at night and -3C during the day.

Let me guess: the earth is getting chills from having a fever.

You can fool some of the people some of the time, but not forever when it comes to lying about the weather. Our rulers should have stuck with the Coming Ice Age scare they were hyping in the 70s.

Global warming gives Beijing its heaviest snowfall in decades.

These days when you point out the freezing temperatures, they just smygly tell you that it isn’t global warming anymore, it’s “climate change”. So there you have it, folks. Everytime the weather gets unfriendly, these eco-fascists will just claim it’s a result of mankind’s own selfishness, and run with that. It’s the modern version of original sin.

Watching TV last night I saw an ad by the WWF (no not the wrestling guys). The whole ad was about how polar bears are dying out and going extinct and how people should send them money to help the bears.

In other words the whole ad was a bald faced, deliberate lie. It was as big a lie as me going on television and telling everyone I’m Barack Obama and I need money to fly to the planet Venus to save the world from an alien invasion. It was outrageously fraudulent, the kind of thing the FCC is supposed to hammer.

I saw that last night, with Noah Somebody, and that’s exactly what I said to my better half “that’s a bald faced lie, how do they get away with that?”. It’s just so brazen.

A couple hundred miles north of me are the polar bear hunts, a few years before my present location I lived in Barrow, Alaska. The Inuit just shake their heads at this nonsense, there’s plenty of bears, more than ever.

Projection AGAIN!!??!?! Please Jack Auf provide proof that the Earth is warming, that man is responsible, and give us a firm number for the accepted global mean tempurature.

  • http://networdblog.blogspot.com/ Christopher_Taylor

It is really frustrating, watching that crap because you can’t do anything but yell at the TV screen. And the really sad part is so many people believe it.

WOW! You have really cut us to the quick here, Jack Schite. Condemning us for something we never said or advocated. What a master debater you are!

Sorry to have to tell you, but your Religion of AGW if as worthless and false a religion as that of the pedophile prophet. Too Bad.

It is foolish to excoriate those who disagree with you as idiots when you give them reason to claim that you are.

MMGW is a hypothesis. One that I agree with. But one that hasn’t been proven. Those who disagree with you also have a point.

But it takes a lot more than nanny, nanny boo boo to convince them. And we haven’t done that yet.

Though I agree that MMGW exists, I think we have yet to prove it….And I don’t think that those who disagree are flat earthers. They have questions that we are unable to answer.

One of our greatest challenges is to convert those who disagree with us….not to simply dismiss them.

Funny how the Inuit don’t know sh*t about polar bears. I thought we were supposed to respect the knowledge of nature that our noble natives possessed.

yep, they’re all noble people in tuned to the land until they start disregarding libs sacred cows. Then they’re taitnted by Western Civilzation and corrupted. Funny (and sad) how that works out.

    Your kidding, right?

Sad is only that you are unwilling to respect their culture.

  • Toastrider

You were doing so well until just now, rmiller, then you made an ass of yourself.

Read what Hotspur posted. He’s saying that liberals are more than happy to reference folks who agree with them… but if they trot off the line, they become fair game.

    Not unlike black conservatives.

  • RKae

Hey, rmiller, let the Inuit hunt polar bears like they want to. That would be respecting their culture.

While we’re at it, I’d like to invite you up here to Washington. You can watch a Makah whale hunt! Won’t that be fun?

You’re kidding, right? I’m supposed to respect what some conservative says about native peoples?

Even if what you allege might be right, assuming that conservatives respect native idealogy in the north, that is no reason to assume you know what you are writing about when it comes to Afro-Americans in the south.

especially if you end up with an assertion that…

    rmiller,

Why do you feel the need to “agree” with a hypothesis you agree has yet to be proven? Seems like a faith based statement on your part.

  • http://TheNixonTape.Blogspot.Com Dick_Nixon

Even if what you allege might be right, assuming that conservatives respect native idealogy in the north, that is no reason to assume you know what you are writing about when it comes to Afro-Americans in the south.

African Americans in the South were treated reaally well by Sheets Byrd and Al Gore Sr. Old man Gore would let them work in his yard, and Byrd spent a large part of his time supporting, recruiting for, and being a leader in a domestic terror organization that preached that African Americans were sub humans.

Speaking of freezing temperatures in Florida, this morning I woke up to something I had never seen before in my life: ice coating the windshield of my car.

They may understand the land but natives are no conservationists, they’re as much, if not more, scorched earth policy as any other culture.

  • http://guardian.blogdrive.com/ CavalierX

Sad is only that you are unwilling to respect their culture.

Sad that you Liberals think you can pick and choose which parts of which cultures to “respect.” Various Native American cultures practiced infanticide, torture, ritual murder, environmental abuse, cannibalism, geronticide and slavery, among many other thing you’d love to pretend they didn’t. Go and respect that.

  • RKae

    To CavalierX:

Funny you should mention that! Just the other day I read “The True History of Slavery” by Thomas Sowell. (It’s a section in his book “Black Rednecks & White Liberals.”) It’s damned informative. Basically, and quite refreshingly, he points out how slavery was a global phenomenon and it was Western Civilization that snapped out of it first — and thank God they had the guts to play “world cop” and go smack everyone else for it.

  • Mike_M

“And I don’t think that those who disagree are flat earthers. They have questions that we are unable to answer.”

    Yeah, like:

“Why did you destroy the original temperature data?”
“Do you think you’re fooling anybody by claiming tax increases can save the planet?”
    “Why do you keep lying?”
“When are you coming to shovel the foot of ‘global warming’ off of my driveway?”
“Why is every single pro-global warming politician a screaming hypocrite with a carbon footprint the size of Jupiter?”

    You can start with those.

  • http://conservativebootcamp.com martinhale

Mike – I’ll add the following:

Why, given all those scientists who are so vociferous in their support of MMCC, have none of them come up with a conclusive and repeatable experimental design which unequivocally establishes a causal link between the presence or absence of atmospheric CO2 and mean global temperature?

How is it that we can believe your predictions, when the last ten years of data don’t support them in the least? Posed another way, why should we believe your predictions when the first ten years after you made them, climate moved in the opposite direction of your prediction?

Why should we accept computer simulations as evidence, when there is no hard science there to support them?

Why do climate alarmists routinely ignore or downplay the rich geological record which serves as evidence of thousands of warm and cold climate periods, ranging back to the earliest rocks we can find on Earth, and all of which happened long before mankind appeared on earth to ‘pollute’ it?

Why, when our Sun is the source of an overwhelming majority of Earth’s energy (and therefore heat), is the role of the Sun in shaping our current climate treated so dismissively by those who support the social and financial controls which come with a world-view in which mankind is responsible for the vagaries of climate?

What are you prepared to do to compensate those who took your advice and purchased dozens of mercury-filled and toxic CFL light bulbs in order to support your myth of man-caused climate change? Do you expect that those of us who were smart enough to see through the deception to pay for your mistakes?

In a similar vein, what do you expect those of us who saw through the deception to do with the coming surge of large discarded batteries from cars. Even if we all believed in the MMCC faith, haven’t we just traded one ecological disaster for another? How “smart” is that?

When all this lunacy is finally put to rest, are you going to apologise (maybe I should say confess your sins, since most alarmists are operating on faith, just as any good religious acolyte does) for the impact your alarmism has had on the people and institutions around you? I suppose repayment is out of the question, eh?

If you get through Mike’s list of questions, try mine.

  • Safari_Man

The ultimate aim of the AGW folks is nationalization of the oil industry. Several dims in congress have already blabbed that they have been discussing this idea behind closed doors. They want to nationalize oil as much as they want to nationalize banks, autos, and even the medical industry — perhaps even more.

  • Mike_M

“If you get through Mike’s list of questions, try mine.”

Oh right, take all the sciency questions… ;)

CFLs have already been a disaster. Just wait until the lawsuits start rolling in from mercury poisoning.

Hybrids aren’t too far behind, especially once word gets out about them being a black hole for rare earth metals. I wonder how long it will be before we see the movie “Blood Hybrid”, where Leo DeCaprio and his phony accent fight African warlords and their armies of child slaves strip mining for conflict metals.

All the recent hoopla has been about tree ring chronologies showing a stable climate. But what about the cherry blossom chronology published in 1994 that lead to the first Kyoto climiate conference in 1997? I looked at it and at first glance it seemed to support the tree rings. But upon reviewing the methodology I realised that there was a calendar error introduced to the data that skewed the results. I managed to correct them resulting in a new graph that shows the Medieval Warming Period and the Little Ice Age that the warmists claim don’t exist. You can see both the original studies and how correcting the data shows a completely different story here:
