Chris Christie’s Political Career May Be Over

Mitt Romney was winning independents in most polls by 7-20 points before Chris Christie’s over-the-top praise for the minimal amount of help Obama gave his state tanked Mitt’s numbers with independents. The early exit polls showed that Mitt won independents by only 5 points. So, did Chris Christie cost Mitt Romney hundreds of thousands of votes down the stretch in what turned out to be a very close election?

Absolutely.

Since then, Christie has: continued to behave like a jilted teenage girl.

“We didn’t have a political strategy discussion. I said, `Congratulations on your win last night, Mr. President,’ and he said, `Thank you,”’ Christie told reporters today at a National Guard Armory in Franklin Township…

Asked if he’s spoken to Romney since his loss, Christie said: “No; we exchanged e-mails last night,” Christie said. “We haven’t spoken on the phone yet.”

Mitt Romney just helped Christie get elected, considered him for VP and made him the keynote speaker at the RNC. On the other hand, Barack Obama offered to give his state some money and Christie slobbered all over him.

What a jerk.
