European Coalition for Israel Conference Upcoming

The European Coalition for Israel (ECI) conference for Israel was established in 2004 and held annually in Europe. Tomas Sandell has a vision for a dedicated non-Jewish organization to “lobby” on behalf of Israel in Brussels and the capital cities of Europe. The ECI has a board of Christian leaders from UK, Germany, Sweden, Israel/USA and Finland.

European Coalition for Israel is a joint initiative by major international Christian pro-Israel organizations with activities in Europe to address the issue of growing anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism in Europe. ECI seeks to inform members of European Parliament and other political leaders in Brussels and other European capitals about the complex realities of the conflict in the Middle East by acknowledging the right for Israel, as the only democracy in the region, to exist within secure borders.

There are many worldwide Pro-Israel Christian supporters, including: David Cerullo: &: Jay Sekulow.

The upcoming Annual ECI Policy Conference will be held starting November 13th: in Brussels. The topic of the conference is: EU Middle East policy forty years after the Yom Kippur war – where to now? Since 1973, the EU has made a positive policy choice to create a Palestinian state based on the so-called “pre-1967 borders”, and restrict the right of Jews to live in the land which constitutes discrimination.

At the conference, the ECI will present an “open letter” to EU High Representative Catherine Ashton and the EU Council of Foreign Ministers. In the letter, the ECI urges the EU to withdraw the proposed guidelines on EU funding to Israeli entities in the “occupied territories”, and to review EU policy concerning these territories. The letter is being signed by a number of prominent European (former and current) politicians. For more information – see: www.ec4i.org:
