Free Enterprise Motivational Quotes

Owning: 5WPR, a leading US PR Agency which I started alone less than 10 years ago it has been constant hard work.:  Nothing comes easy — and having President Obama it seems even harder to succeed, as this administration seems to embrace a class-warfare philosophy.

For many like myself who need some motivation some inspirational quotes on free enterprise:

  • “Free enterprise runs on self interest. This is socialism and it runs on loyalty . . . if people were going to live by comparison shopping, the town would go bust . . . If you live there you have to take it as a whole. That’s loyalty.” Garrison Keillor,: Lake: Wobegon: Days
  • : “A free-enterprise economy depends only on markets, and according to the most advanced mathematical macroeconomic theory, markets depend only on mood” Barbara Ehrenreich
  • “Some see private enterprise as a predatory target to be shot, others as a cow to be milked, but few are those who see it as a sturdy horse pulling the wagon.” Winston Churchill
  • “The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.” Winston Churchill
  • “Americans chose a free enterprise system designed to provide a quality of opportunity, not compel a quality of results. And that is why this is only place in the world where you can open up a business in the spare bedroom of your home.” Marco Rubio
  • “A great virtue of a free market system is that it does not care what color people are; it does not care what their religion is; it only cares whether they can produce something you want to buy. It is the most effective system we have discovered to enable people who hate one another to deal with one another and help one another.” Milton Friedman
  • “In general, the art of government consists in taking as much money as possible from one party of the citizens to give to the other.” Voltaire
  • “If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it costs when it’s free.” P.J. O’Rourke (1993)
  • “Every man has a property in his own person. This nobody has any right to but himself. The labor of his body and the work of his hands are properly his.” John Locke, 1690
  • “It’s no accident that capitalism has brought with it progress, not merely in production but also in knowledge. Egoism and competition are, alas, stronger forces than public spirit and sense of duty.” Albert Einstein
  • “Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.” Mark Twain
