Obama – So What If He Is a Muslim?

So what’s wrong with being Muslim? Is there something inherently bad about being Muslim? If someone claimed I was a Jew, would I get all defensive? Or would I simply correct him or her, that I am a Christian. I certainly wouldn’t get all huffy, resentful and accusatory over it.

Would my friends and relatives come to my aid, exclaiming how dare you call him a Jew? No. Any reasonable person would merely correct the error and go on their way.

But the liberal press loudly condemns Donald Trump for not just not correcting the audience member who called Obama a Muslim, but for, by his relative silence, implying that Obama is indeed a Muslim.

So what if Obama were a Muslim? How would that change anything? It was 4 1/2 years ago, in an early 2011 speech at the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, Obama recounted working with churches in Chicago in his days as a community organizer and how he “came to know Jesus Christ for myself and embrace him as my Lord and Savior. My Christian faith then has been a sustaining force for me over these last few years, all the more so when Michelle and I hear our faith questioned from time to time. We are reminded that, ultimately, what matters is not what other people say about us, but whether we’re being true to our conscience and true to our God.” As far as I can find, this is the last instance of Obama affirming his Christian faith.

So I ask again – what if Obama were a Muslim? Would it matter? Would it make any difference to his policies?

He sure does have an affinity for Islam, which, by all accounts, is pretty odd for a Christian, particularly these days.

I believe he is the first American president ever to host a Ramadan dinner. To this he said: “I look forward to hosting an Iftar dinner celebrating Ramadan here at the White House later this week, and wish you a blessed month.”

I don’t recall him hosting any kind of White House gathering for Rosh Hashanah, Shavuot or Simchat Torah, do you? It seems like the Hindu Holi would be right up his alley, as they celebrate the spring festival with many drinks and sweets made with cannabis. It would be like reliving his old Choom Gang days.

But no – it appears to be strictly Islam related functions that interest him.

You recall Obama whimsically stated “The sweetest sound I know is the Muslim call to prayer,” and “The future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam.”

He obviously has great respect for the Muslim religion, as he’s said: “As a student of history, I also know civilizations debt to Islam – Islam has always been part ofAmerica,” and “In ancient times and in our times, Muslim communities have been at the forefront of innovation in education.” Of course all of this is total crap, but he’s welcome to believe.

And let’s not forget his attempt at moral equivalency by comparing today’s Muslim barbarism with Christians from centuries ago. Of course he had to go all the way back to the Crusades – 920 years ago. Obama said: “And lest we not get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place. Remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ.”

With all this, is it any wonder why many think he is Muslim? I mean – who says these things, in a post 9/11 world, unless one is either Muslim or is just purposely trying to be provocative.

So you see, it really doesn’t matter if he is Muslim or not. It’s not like anything would change if he said he was, other than possibly explaining why he’s making a deal with the ruthless Islamic regime of Iran. I suppose it would explain why he supported the Arab spring – otherwise known as the kickoff to the new Caliphate.

It might explain why he supported the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, why members of the Brotherhood work in the White House, why he has authorized at least 10,000 Muslim refugees entry into the United States, while leaving the Yazidis and Coptic Christians hanging out to dry, and why he treats Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu like second-class citizens.

So really, if he held a news conference tomorrow and reiterated his Christian faith and his love for Jesus – would it change a darn thing? Nope.
Christian or Muslim, Obama is who he is, and knowing his true faith, if he has any, is immaterial and an exercise in futility.
