Obama’s Amateurish Trade Could Harm Americans
Let’s clear out the idiocy of the Bowe Bergdahl debates and then get to what’s really important: this decision’s legacy.
Idiocy: Liberals such as Jonathon Alter and others at MSNBC, Mother Jones, etc. who pretend the U.S. has a policy of prisoner exchanges because Israel has had prisoner exchanges with Arabs. Really. They’re saying that.
If they had any sense of reality, they’d know that Israel is not the U.S. and that prisoner exchanges did occur during WWII when courageous Red Cross workers found Allied prisoners who were near death (as Bergdahl is reportedly not) and the Allied forces were able to negotiate exchanges of similarly afflicted soldiers.:
Idiocy: Spokesweasel Susan “Benghazi Video Girl” Rice saying Bergdahl served his country with “honor and distinction.” Reality: Factcheck that with his fellow soldiers and you’ll learn “Tokyo Rice” has once again lied to America.:
Idiocy: President Obama claiming, “We didn’t negotiate with terrorists.”
No, you negotiated with officials in Qatar who negotiated with terrorists who worked with the criminal gang known as the Haqqani Network who worked with the Taliban terrorists who negotiated with the Qatar officials who brought back to you your negotiation responses.:
This is like the crook who owns a chop shop hiring someone else to steal cars, who then hires another guy to help steal cars, who then brings the cars to the guy who hired him, who then brings the stolen cars to the chop shop. The chop shop crook can say, “I didn’t steal any cars” while he stands in front of his stolen cars, grinning like Joe Biden.
Liberals like to pretend previous Presidents have often negotiated with terrorists. Whether it was Iran, Lebanon, North Vietnam or North Korea, those negotiations were with a sovereign nation, not a loosely knit terror organization without borders. There is a difference, which liberals have chosen to ignore for the sake of their own arguments.
And why would anyone work so hard at making such specious arguments?
And why would President Obama make such a dangerously amateurish trade of five influential terrorist leaders?
It’s dangerously amateurish because Qatar has made no promise that these high level terrorists will be guarded closely for the next year as President Obama apparently believes.:
As reported by the New York Daily News:
“A top Middle Eastern official said officials in Qatar would do little to hinder the terrorists.
“The unidentified official told Reuters that the Taliban leaders had already moved into a residential compound in the capital, Doha, and could ‘move around freely’ within the nation. The source said the terrorists will not be treated like prisoners and U.S. officials will not be allowed to monitor them.”
“Mullah Salem Khan, a Taliban commander in Afghanistan, said the men were already bracing for battle. ‘As soon as they arrived in Qatar, they rejoined the Taliban,’ he told The Daily Beast website. ‘We don’t care about U.S. conditions and obstacles.”
It’s dangerously amateurish because even the President has acknowledged out loud in his own voice for God and everyone else to hear that these creatively murderous terrorist leaders will most likely do all they can to kill again.
“Is there a possibility of some of them trying to return to activities that are detrimental to us? Absolutely,” Obama told a news conference in Warsaw.
“That’s been true of all the prisoners that were released from Guantanamo. There’s a certain recidivism rate that takes place.”
This is what matters.
President Obama has knowingly sent top terror leaders back home where they can plot and kill more Americans.
President Obama has given terrorists and criminals a price list for kidnapping Americans by breaking the tradition of refusing to trade money and/or criminals for hostages.
Here’s Obama’s menu:
– Five Taliban for every one U.S. Soldier. Plus money that has not yet been reported.
– How many Taliban for each U.S. tourist in London or Paris, Mr. President?:
– With two, do they get eggroll?
