Random Musings on Jay Sekulow, Mark Birnbaum and Others

  • : The American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), which works to protect religious freedom and human rights has attracted tens of thousands of signatures to a petition calling upon the Obama Administration to end its foreign policy of “appeasement and apologies” and stop sending U.S. taxpayer dollars to countries which permit and support the terrorism of Islamic militants bent on destroying America. Doesn’t that sound like something any sane democracy should do?
  • “The anti-American violence at the direction of Islamic extremists amplifies what can only be described as a failed foreign policy by the Obama Administration,” said: Jay Sekulow,: Chief Counsel of the ACLJ. We’re calling on the Obama Administration to cut off funding to Libya and Egypt until stable governments – which support America – are put in place.”
  • While I didn’t necessarily agree with a lot of the background, thought those interested in the current state of media could be interested in seeing “Stop the Presses: The American Newspaper in Peril,”, a documentary by filmmaker: Mark Birnbaum. Digital media moves very quickly — and people can’t (and don’t need to) wait for the end of the day to learn about media.: : Was interesting food for thought, in an era of citizen-journalism, someone interviewed in the film said “the press is the only profession named in the American constitution.”
  • The West’s closest ally in the embattled Middle East, Israel continues to forge forward with vital educational initiatives.: : Ariel University Center has recently had his status upgraded to a permanent university, and in the announcement Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu said he had waited too long.: “Ariel is an inseparable part of the State of Israel and it will remain an inseparable part of the State of Israel. Another university has not been added in decades. There is a strong desire on the part of young people in Israel to receive a university education.”Miami doctor: Irving Moskowitz: recently created a new scholarship: to assist masters and doctoral students and others will follow as Israel continues to grow.
