PR Firms Serving Anti-American Governments

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), a prestigious foreign policy group will host Ali Akbar Salehi, the Foreign Minister of Iran during his NY trip next week. He will be joining: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for the opening of the United Nations General Assembly and the appearance at the CFR is part and parcel of a PR campaign to influence the public.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad spoke during his previous US visit in 2007 at Columbia University in 2007, where he questioned whether the Holocaust actually happened. Its deplorable that these people are provided a forum to present their dangerous views.

I have very little doubt that Western: PR firms: are helping Iran with their PR strategy — helping them to spin their story, coordinate interviews and the like. Amazingly, in the past PR Agencies like: Brown Lloyd James and Patton Boggs worked for Gadhafi when he was in power.: WikiLeaks previously revealed that Brown Lloyd James, a US pr firm has been working with the Syrian Government in “helping Assad get away with murder.”

Leaders in the Middle East are very concerned about their image, and Public Relations firms can assist in shaping and managing their messages. There should be more scrutiny on PR companies that work for dictators.: : Frankly, Western communications companies shouldn’t be working with countries dedicated to destroying the West.

As President of 5WPR, 1 of the 25 largest PR Agencies in America,: Ronn Torossianserves a variety of clients.
