Some Dems in Charlotte Favor Ban on Corporate Profit
Do Democrats favor banning corporate profits? Noted author and economist Peter Schiff: went to the Democratic National Convention to find out.
In an extensive range of interviews with delegates and: attendees: at the Democratic National Convention, radio show host and free-market economist Peter Schiff found a number of people who actually support the idea. Posing as an anti-business crusader, Peter spoke to a wide range of DNC attendees who support adding a plank to the Democratic platform that would explicitly outlaw or cap profitability.
Considering the: widening partisan gap between the two major parties, it is particularly alarming to note the Democrats’ growing hostility toward the corporate sector. The anti-capitalist undercurrents on display in this clip should rightly shock those who still believe that America’s economic successes have been built on a bedrock of free enterprise. If these ideas grow beyond the top ranks of the Democratic party then America’s economic future will be a dim prospect.
