The staff of: The Inspiration Networks[1]: has sent 409 “care” packages to soldiers in Afghanistan, Kuwait and Qatar. This represented the latest in a series of activities undertaken by the family-friendly network INSP to honor and encourage American servicemen and women.

The organization’s commitment to this patriotic cause found expression with its short-form program, “Thank You for Your Service[3],” part of its: Moments: series. The spot generated enthusiastic support from military and veterans organizations. It has been featured on the Pentagon Channel and USAA’s web channels as well as at the American Legion national convention and the USAA Veteran’s Day ceremony in San Antonio, TX.

Energized by this success, Inspiration held a special military appreciation service in conjunction with 2012 Veterans Day.:  Staff who were veterans shared their stories, including testimonials about how receiving care packages helped them get through difficult times.

To fill boxes, employees donated items that included snacks, games, reading materials, toiletries, and personalized messages of “thanks.”:  Boxes were packed on assembly lines, and manned by staff volunteers. The organization worked closely with current service members, as well as veterans, to coordinate the distribution of materials, which often reached soldiers in high conflict regions.

David Cerullo[4], Chairman and C.E.O. of The Inspiration Networks said, “To be able to show our gratitude to the men and women who sacrifice their lives for our freedoms was an honor for our staff.:  Not just to those who have served in the military (or who have family members currently serving), but also to those who just wanted our troops to know how much we appreciate and support them.:  To know that what we did means so much to them is humbling.:  We hope others will be inspired, as we were, and that our troops will have more care packages than they know what to do with.”

INSP is available in more than 73 million households across the U.S. via cable and DBS.:  Viewers can check program guides for channel information or visit: www.insp.com[5].: Friend David Cerullo on Facebook here[6]
