The Mother of All Good Crises

“You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before,” said Rahm Emmanuel, Chicago mayor and leftist hack.

We’ve seen this adage demonstrated throughout Obama’s dictatorial reign. Every time there is a shooting incident that involves a white killing a black, regardless of the justification, Obama, ever the community agitator, is one of the first to speak up.

The body of the dead is barely cold as Obama takes to a microphone and declares this could have somehow been prevented if only he could take all our guns away. Okay, he doesn’t say it, but you can bet he means it.

But he’s not the only one. Most large, sweeping government programs, rules and regulations come from a good crisis – real or fabricated. The Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) bailout supposedly saved the country from certain financial doom. The GM bailout was to save the car company, but it was actually intended to preserve the labor unions.

TARP also gave us Dodd-Frank, the effective federal takeover of the financial system.

Obamacare was born from a phony healthcare crisis, and the flood of illegals over the past few years was apparently due to poor Central Americans trying escape the strife in their own countries.

But the mother of all good crises may come from the aftermath of mega-hurricane Patricia, bearing down on Southern Mexico.

Now, I’m not making light of this monster. It is indeed massive and will likely wipe out anything in its path, with its 200 mph winds. The storm, as it is currently configured appears like it could cover half the U.S. – maybe more.

With something this large and powerfully destructive, it will be difficult to fully escape its path. It will be no surprise to see whole towns destroyed. Yesterday, NBC http://www.nbcnews.com/news/weather/hurricane-patricia-races-mexicos-pacific-coast-potential-monster-n449731 reported that “More than 7 million residents — and an estimated tens of thousands of U.S. citizens visiting or living there — were told to prepare for the “worst-case scenario” as the ferocious storm was expected to race ashore on Mexico’s Pacific coast between 6 to 10 p.m. ET Friday.”

Wow – that’s a lot of people. That’s a lot of Mexican citizens, and I feel for every one of them. It sounds like the aftermath of the storm may reach “crisis” proportions.

CRISIS! Did I just say crisis? Why yes I did.

With so many Mexican cities and towns devastated by wind and water, where will these residents – these “refugees” take refuge? They will have no one to care for them and no place to go. Or will they?

Certainly their own country of Mexico hasn’t the capacity to alleviate their suffering. Parrish the thought! If this is the case – wherever can they go?

You got it! Their ever-benevolent neighbor just to the north will take them in. America can take them in – all who wish to come. By fleeing from the devastation of the most powerful storm ever recorded in this hemisphere, they will naturally be granted special refugee status, by executive decree, being that they were in fact forced to escape.

Obama will once again cite the law signed by our last progressive president, George W. Bush, the 2008 William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Action Act, which has been used repeatedly to allow the illegals to remain here.

Once here they will be given special dispensation, again by executive action, allowing them “temporary” asylum – which will morph into permanent asylum when we cease paying attention.

And maybe if we’re really fortunate, they will be issued drivers licenses, allowing them to register to vote – just in time for the 2016 election.

Never let a good crisis go to waste.
