Why I Helped Create NotMittRomney.com

Barack Obama is so utterly corrupt, hopelessly incompetent, shamefully cynical, and habitually dishonest that you could make a case that he’s the single worst President in American history. With the possible exception of his fellow Democrat James Buchanan, who helped set the stage for the Civil War with his mediocre, wrongheaded leadership, never has such an unworthy man held the presidency at such a crucial time in American history.

This country is beset by a host of serious problems. The economy is in poor shape, jobs are in short supply, gas prices are sky high, spending has gotten so out-of-control that it threatens to decimate the country’s economic future, Obamacare is scheduled to permanently cripple America’s health care system starting in 2014, Medicare and Social Security desperately need to be reformed, Iran is about to acquire nukes, North Korea has them, confidence in government is reaching all-time lows, there’s a European debt crisis on the horizon that could hammer the economy yet again…you can go on and on with problems that Barack Obama has either refused to seriously address or has made worse with his timid, bumbling, ultra-partisan approach to governance. Unless something changes, the history books will probably look back on Barack Obama’s presidency as the point when America started to go into a deep decline.

Against that backdrop, the GOP is going to select Mitt Romney as its nominee? As bad as Barack Obama is, it’s not enough just to get him out of office; we need to replace him with someone who can start taking this country back in the right direction.

Isn’t it bad enough that we already have one guy whose every promise comes with an expiration date? Do the Republicans need to run a candidate like that, too? Because Mitt Romney tells people whatever they want to hear, nobody really knows what he’d do as President. Granted, that would still make him preferable to Obama, who’s practically guaranteed to continue crushing the American Dream by catering to his donors on Wall Street, the unions, and liberal special interest groups — but it’s still not good enough.

This country can’t afford to spend the next four years going backwards under Obama or zig-zagging back and forth as Mitt Romney governs by poll results. There are other candidates running who can beat Obama and who are more conservative than Romney. Pick one of them that you like, support him or her, and join with us at NotMittRomney.com.
