Man, the timing on this is so eerie, it’s chilling. An official that was set to testify against Hillary Clinton, died. This we knew, what we didn’t know is how. They first had said from a heart attack, then changed it to a gym injury…and who knows what else. Now, this is revealed…

The former head of the UN General Assembly, who was facing criminal charges in a federal bribery case, died of asphyxiation after dropping a barbell on his neck, authorities said Thursday.

John Ashe, 61, who was president of the General Assembly from 2013 to 2014, died at his home in the Westchester village of Dobbs Ferry Wednesday afternoon from “traumatic asphyxia with laryngeal cartilage fractures while lifting barbell on bench,” the county’s Medical Examiner’s Office said in a statement.

The death was ruled an accident.

The current General Assembly president, Mogens Lykketoft, had said earlier that Ashe died of a heart attack.

Ashe’s lawyer said that his client had been suffering from an undiagnosed medical condition and that his family had discovered him “passed out twice in the last few months.”

“He was a loving a devoted family man who had every reason to fight this and to live,” said the attorney, Jeremy Schneider.
He called Ashe’s death “a tragic loss for his family and the community.”

Ashe, of the Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda, was charged with tax fraud in October for allegedly taking kickbacks in exchange for promises to pave the way for real-estate deals and other business ventures, mostly in China.

During the trial, the prosecutors most likely would have linked Ashe to the Clintons, this would have been a problem for the couple. They had spent a lot of time together when the guilty party would visit the White House or during fundraising. Now there is talk going around saying this death was conveniently timed.
