VIDEO: Woman on a Safari Screams At This Lion’s Unexpected, Terrifying Move: “I Didn’t Know They Could Do That!”

One of the appeals of going on a safari is that you can see the wonder of wildlife… safely, from a distance. But one woman ended up having a pretty scary close encounter when a lion got a little too close to their car for comfort.

A woman out on a South African safari let out a scream after a lion used its mouth to open her car door.

“Oh my gosh! I didn’t know they could do that!” she said after quickly shutting the door.

Joshua Sutherland, who uploaded the footage, elaborated more.

“Did you know lions could open car doors?” he wrote. “My sisters were visiting our parents, while serving a mission in South Africa, and had an experience of a lifetime.”

It’s as if the lion is reminding us that, hey, you might think you’re safe inside that thing, but guess again! Most animals are smarter than we give them credit for, and this is just another example.
