When I finally went to bed last night, I was thrilled because I KNEW the GOP was going to get the Senate back. But there were three things I was wondering about. Would Thune win in South Dakota (no), would Coleman beat Mondale in Minnesota (he did), and most importantly, what would the hardcore Dems at the Democratic Underground have to say about the beating their candidates had taken at the hands of the GOP? The bitter & paranoid rantings on the DU boards did not disappoint in the least. Read and enjoy the post-election version of ACPOTI (anyone can post on the internet).

I know that the whole "trickle down economics" thing didn't work back in the eighties, but i think we should just give it another shot. I mean, if the rich get richer, they'll spend all their money on ditch diggers (like me) and retail clerks, not hold on to it and get even more rich, right?
I kinda like the idea of me and my friends living off of the crumbs of the economic elite.
And anyway, i've been working out as of late. So whenever the US is thrown into an apocalyptic nuclear holocaust, i think that i might be able to fend for myself a while in post-apocalyptic new york or post-apocalyptic los angeles. I'll also change my name to snake.
I just wish that i was lucky enough to get that tax cut and not have to go to war too! Gee, The rich GOP guys get all the good stuff!
