BREAKING: Vatican Police ‘Break Up Gay Orgy’

Whoa. It’s almost hard to believe this is true, but it sure looks that way. In Rome, the Vatican police broke up a gay orgy at the home of the secretary to one of Pope Francis’s key advisers. That looks very, very bad for the Pope. He’s been trying to crack down on the clergy there and hold them to a higher standard, now this. The flat ostensibly belongs to the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. And in an ironic twist, that is the Holy Office in charge of handling sexual abuse among the clergy. Oops.

Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio, a key aide to the Pope, is said to live in that flat. The location is a short distance from the Vatican itself. The neighbors complained of weird comings and goings at all hours and about the noise from the flat. I guess that tipped the police off. Les flics. When the police arrived, they caught a number of men in a gay orgy and found drugs all over the place. Someone’s going to need a whole lot of forgiveness. Geez.

From the Mirror:

Vatican police have broken up a gay orgy at the home of the secretary to one of Pope Francis’s key advisers, it has been claimed.

The flat belonged to the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, or Holy Office, which is in charge of tackling sexual abuse amongst the clergy.

Reports in Italy claim the occupant of the apartment is the secretary to Cardinal Francesco Coccopalmerio – a key aide to the 80-year-old Pope.

Coccopalmerio heads the Pontifical Council for Legislative texts and was said to have once recommended his secretary for a promotion to bishop.

The claims about the police raid last month were made in the Italian newspaper Il Fatto Quotidiano.

This is just the latest sex scandal to hit the Vatican. The Vatican’s finance chief Cardinal George Pell was charged with historical sexual offences in Australia. Police have not revealed details of the charges against the 76 year-old, citing the need to preserve the ‘integrity of the judicial process’. Right. Pell, who was appointed to clean up the Vatican’s murky finances, has taken a leave of absence to defend himself against the sex abuse charges in Australia.

In March, the Vatican was besieged with an onslaught of lurid accusations of naughty priests across Italy. Orgies, prostitution and porn videos are all in the mix here. Sounds like the clergy has gone wild there and is out of control. That’s about as far as you can get from God’s work and being a Christian. The Vatican has been humiliated by all this. And I would wager there’s a lot more that will come to light. Time for the Pope to clean God’s house.
