Colorado Police Officer Gunned Down, 4 Others Shot Responding To Domestic Disturbance

I don’t know what is going on in the United States these days. Colorado deputy Zackari Parrish, 29, was murdered on Sunday morning while responding to a verbal disturbance call between two roommates. The call came in at 5:15 AM and by the time all was said and done, 5 deputies had been shot and one ended up dying as a result.

All of the officers are in stable condition.

28 year-old Deputy Mike Doyle, 30 year-old Deputy Taylor Davis, 32 year-old Deputy Jeffrey Pelle – all of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office – and 41 year-old Castle Rock Police Officer Tom O’Donnell were also caught up in the shooting by an unidentified subject.

President Trump issued a tweet with a message of sympathy.

“My deepest condolences to the victims of the terrible shooting in Douglas County @DCSheriff, and their families,” he wrote. “We love our police and law enforcement – God Bless them all! #LESM.”

It turned violent when police answered the call concerning the altercation between the shooter and his roommate. The police have not released the identity of the shooter, though they reported that he had been neutralized.

The officers were met with gunfire after being led to the room where the shooter had barricaded himself and all of the cops were shot in rapid succession. It happened so quickly that not one of the surviving officers could provide a timeline. Four of the LEOs were able to crawl to safety while another group entered the apartment. Two other civilians were also injured in the gunfire and while their names haven’t been released, we do know that they received non-life threatening injuries.

A post on Twitter from the sheriff’s office encouraged people to stay where they were and not venture out of their abodes.

“A Code Red was sent out regarding this incident,” it read. “Any citizens in the affected area are instructed to shelter in place, avoid windows and stay away from exterior walls.”

A motorcade was held for the fallen officer the same day and our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Officer Parrish is survived by his wife and two young daughters, and if you want to help the family out, you can donate to their GoFundMe[2] account.

I’m glad that the “man” who shot these officers is dead. If it were possible, I’d bring him back to life and kill him myself. This was such a tragic loss of life and now two little girls are going to grow up without a father.
