Moonbat Tech: Electric Police Cars

Stressing official preference for pandering to political correctness rather than controlling crime, police in Oxford, England are puttering around in electric ecojokes[1].

The $33,000 Mitsubishi iMievs are guaranteed unhurtful to polar bears (since electricity is generated from pixie dust) and can go 100 miles on a charge — but only with the lights off. Consequently, cops are not able to use flashing blue lights to get people’s attention.

Not to worry though, ecoscientists are working toward a solution:

Some manufacturer’s have opted for an integrated solar roof to power such systems, like this quirky Trabant[2]. One obvious drawback of this approach is that extended cloudy or dark periods will render it useless.

Here’s an idea: why not let the police drive real cars, and give the electric go-carts to criminals? That way, the cops will be able to catch them.

They’ve got to be kidding.
