Carrie Underwood Makes HUGE Announcement – Changing The Lives Of U.S. Military Families Forever

What Carrie Underwood is doing is just simply awesome.[1] I have heard of her doing other good deeds, but this one is very special. She has teamed up with Operation Homefront to help out military families. The program goes on for a year. She will help raise funds for the families and select ones will get to have a personal meeting with Underwood at 10 separate stops on her Storyteller tour. The event ends on Nov. 4th in New York City on board the Carnival Vista.

Country superstar Carrie Underwood has a history of supporting good causes. And she recently upped her game to lend a hand to our military families.

Underwood is partnering with Operation Homefront[3] whose mission is to “build STRONG, STABLE, and SECURE military FAMILIES so they can thrive in the communities that they’ve worked so hard to protect.”

The year long Honor. Family. Fun. program will help raise funds for Operation Homefront. Also, select military families will have personal meet-and-greets with Underwood at 10 stops on her Storyteller Tour. The program will conclude on November 4th on board the Carnival Vista in New York City.

Operation Homefront is active in assisting military families. In addition to helping with school supplies for military children, they have provided emergency aid, housing and support for these families who give up so much to serve our country. John Laursen is a medically retired Iraq and Afghanistan veteran who was given a mortgage free home from Operation Homefront. It’s veterans like Laursen who will benefit from Carrie’s involvement in this program. Of all the things that celebrities can do, helping our vets is at the top of my list. They need it desperately considering that the government has all but turned its back on them. It’s up to us to take up the slack and Underwood is doing her part. Way to go Carrie!
