Principal Scraps “God Bless The USA” Because She Doesn’t Want To Offend Other Cultures?

Because liberals aren’t as moral as other people, they don’t have any problem with letting terrorists, criminals, communists, and every miscreant under the sun around kids, as long as they lean to the left. So to a liberal, it’s fine for someone like Greta Hawkins to be the principal of a school[1].

The principal of a Brooklyn, N.Y. elementary school has reportedly pulled the song “God Bless the USA” from a kindergarten graduation ceremony so as not to offend other cultures, according to the New York Post.

The kindergartners had spent several months learning the song, which was set to close out the program, until P.S. 90 principal Greta Hawkins came into a recent rehearsal and told teachers to scrap it.

“We don’t want to offend other cultures,” teachers quoted Hawkins as saying, according to the Post.

Teachers and parents were reportedly shocked by Hawkins’ decision, particularly because the Lee Greenwood song has been sung at school events in the past – and because a rendition of Justin Bieber’s song “Baby” was kept in the program.

Kindergarten mother Luz Lozada told the Post “God Bless the USA” got a standing ovation at last year’s fifth-grade graduation, and that the school’s immigrant parents, including those from Pakistan, Mexico and Ecuador, “love it.”

Even if the parents from Pakistan, Mexico, and Ecuador didn’t love it, this is an American school — in America. Kids should be taught to love this country. If you’re a foreigner and you find that offensive, take your kids somewhere else. If you’re a liberal like Greta Hawkins and have a problem with it, you should be considered unfit to be a principal. In all seriousness, parents in that school should be banding together to demand she be fired.

If parents aren’t even willing to stand up for their beliefs, their country, their faith and their kids, then we shouldn’t be surprised when our mediocre education system is better at teaching kids liberal propaganda than reading, writing, and arithmetic. At some point, if things are going to get better, the parents have to stop letting people like Greta Hawkins get away with it.
