Al Gore Is Endorsed for President, Calls for Punishment of Global Warming Skeptics

Regarding the executive branch, it is difficult to believe that our national leadership could get any worse. Yet it conceivably could. Some liberals want the man who tried to sue his way into the White House to give presidential politics another go:

The most ambitious vision for the Democratic Party right now rests with a politician most have forgotten, and whom no one is mentioning for 2016: Al Gore.

Gore offers a genuinely different view of what the Democratic Party — and, by extension, American politics — should be about.

To be specific, it should be about using the global warming hoax as a pretext to impose a repressive form of oligarchical collectivism that would radically reduce both our freedom and our standard of living.

As for Congress getting in the way of envirosocialist utopia…

…climate change is an issue where the president has real unilateral authority. The Environmental Protection Agency has the power to aggressively regulate greenhouse gas emissions [and thereby all human activity] — a process the Obama administration has begun, but that the next president will need to continue. Much of the crucial work on climate change requires coming to agreements with India and China — and that, too, is an arena where the president can act even if Congress is paralyzed.

Obama has demonstrated this principle by helping Iran to get the Bomb despite opposition from the legislative branch.

This gives an idea of the level of tyranny that would be inflicted by a President Gore:

For the third time in the last few years, Al Gore, founder and chairman of the Climate Reality Project, spoke at the [South by Southwest] festival on Friday. Naturally, his interactive discussion focused on addressing the [alleged] climate crisis. The former vice president focused on the need to “punish climate-change deniers, saying politicians should pay a price for rejecting ‘accepted science,’” said the Chicago Tribune.

You can see why Gore got a D in natural sciences. No one with any respect for science would call for punishing people who challenge politically favored theories.

Gore said forward-thinking [i.e., politically oriented crony capitalist] investors are moving away from companies that invest in fossil fuels and towards companies investing in renewable energy. “We need to put a price on carbon to accelerate these market trends,” Gore told the Chicago Tribune, referring to a proposed federal cap-and-trade system that would penalize companies that exceeded their carbon-emission limits. “And in order to do that, we need to put a price on denial in politics.”

He called on the tech-minded SXSW crowd, which is dominated by Millenials, to harness technology to launch a grassroots movement to tackle climate change and call out climate deniers. …

Years from now, Gore said the next generation will look back at us and ask: “How did you change?,” according to Macworld. “Part of the answer may well be that a group of people came to South by Southwest in Austin, Texas in 2015 and helped to make a revolution,” Gore said.

The damage Obama can inflict is limited by the smallness of his mind. Certainly he wants to bring down America a few notches, but despite his talk of “fundamental transformation” he mainly just wants to watch ESPN and bask in the glory of liberal idiots thinking he is the coolest kid in class.

Like truly terrible tyrants, Al Gore thinks big. His antihuman envirofascist ideology combined with his alarming messianic complex will translate into a nightmare if he is ever given enough power. America under the rule of this malign lunatic would resemble Cambodia under Pol Pot.
