BREAKING: Fake Black Woman Resigns as President of Spokane NAACP Chapter

We’ve all been talking about it since late last week, the story of the white woman who has been lying for a decade and telling people she as really black. She parlayed this lie into a university job, a stint on a city police watchdog board, and the presidency of the Spokane, Washington NAACP. Now, under the mounting pressure focused on her since last Friday, Rachel Dolezal has resigned as the president of the NAACP!

This woman has been a very successful liar for some time… until it all crumbled around her.

Rachel Dolezal, whose story sparked a national conversation over racial identity, is stepping down as the president of the Spokane chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

In a message to the organization’s executive committee, Dolezal said her resignation is in the best interest of the NAACP.

Dolezal made national news after it emerged that she had been presenting herself as being of mixed race when she was really born to white parents. Pictures showed that Dolezal had even undertaken a physical transformation through the years.

“In the eye of this current storm, I can see that a separation of family and organizational outcomes is in the best interest of the NAACP,” Dolezal said in a statement posted to the organization’s Facebook page. “It is with complete allegiance to the cause of racial and social justice and the NAACP that I step aside from the presidency and pass the baton to my Vice President, Naima Quarles-Burnley.”

The NAACP keeps saying that being black isn’t the sole qualification for being a member or a leader of the NAACP. Still, Dolezal is gone anyway.

Dolezal is also being investigated by the city of Spokane which thinks she may have broken a law (and at the very least broke ethics rules) by lying on her application to be appointed to the police watchdog commission.

Lies usually come home to roost… unless you are a Clinton.
