Dear Harry Reid: Is Your Ivory Tower Padded?
Written By : Lori Ziganto

If Harry Reid’s Ivory Tower isn’t padded, it should be, because he is cuckoo pants. I submit as exhibit A:

Only 36,000 jobs lost, which is UP from last month. What a super awesome day! Who wants evil private sector jobs anyway, right Harry? The rhetoric of the Democrat’s has moved from incomprehensible to absolutely unbelievable. Talk about shock and awe; can he really be this much of a dunce? Such woefully clueless rhetoric shows that not only have they never owned a business or ran a business, but few have even worked for a living. They are like a bunch of little boys playing “business Daddy” dress-up.

People need to work, not to chatter endlessly about good intentions and meaning well and feel good-y nonsense. Hey, instead of kedoodling around and spouting incompetent nonsense, why don’t you, I don’t know, govern? Perhaps stop wasting time on ridiculous schemes that no one wants and that will debilitate our country and its economy further? Stop bailing out crappy businesses. Stop regulating  the good ones out of business. Stop taxing them out of employing people. As I said, I know it’s hard since many of you haven’t worked a day in the private sector in your lives, but it’s time to not just put on big boy pants, but to also act like big boys. People, real people, are hurting.

But you don’t really care, do you, Harry? Job schmobs, we’ve got a health care bill – that no one wants – to try to ram through. Ideology outweighs the needs of the people and the good of the country, for you, once again. I’ll check back with you on that whole “it’s a good day” when people lose their jobs thing come November of 2010, when y’all will be given the big old boot. I’ll make sure to have this video clip handy to play for you.

So, Harry, now hat you’ve gotten the jobs problem solved, I suppose you need to get back to, what, health care?

It’s hard to spin crap as good news, and Reid is a pretty hapless wretch to begin with. How he ended up in this position I cannot comprehend, it has to be either some sort of puppet position for someone who couldn’t ever win, he has a vault full of dirt on the other Democrats, or some sort of total lottery luck win.

  • Hookset

It might have been an awesome day for America…but a real bad day for dirty harry Reid.

Good news always makes you guys so mad.

There is far better news in the air for conservatives these days than reports of Reid missteps.

There are actual signs that conservatives are finally awakening to the fact that the GOP has taken them for a sucker ride during the last thirty years.

Conservatives are gathering to protest the appearance of GOP House of Representative Minority Leader John Boehner as he makes a campaign stop in support of a Democrat turned Republican who is running for reelection to Congress. That is the same John Boehner who brags that “things will be different if he becomes Speaker of the House”, but then refuses to sign on to GOP Representative Paul Ryan’s plan for detailed spending cuts which will balance the budget without raising taxes. Yes indeed, conservatives are coming alive and are refusing to drink any more of that GOP ladled voodoo supply side economic kool aid laced with “deficits don’t matter” poison.

Oh, nobodies mad here. We are stunned at how stupid this guy, your leader, is. Its hard to imagine the things that come out of his mouth.

I get a kick out of that meme, ends up blaming today’s woes on Reagan. Yes the last few decades have been the most prosperous for any nation in history but now things have dipped and it’s all because of Reagan 30 years ago!
Obama is such a bust and was supposed to be the left’s super star, that’s why they’re on such an anti-Reagan kick these days.

  • Jack Schite

Prosperous for whom? The middle class is gone, replaced by two worker household that struggle to make ends meet. Meanwhile the richest 5% have TRIPLED their wealth since 1980. They got the mine and you got the shaft.

Your leaders gave convinced you that you share the interests of the rich (people like me). Suckers. You’ve been taking the country on a thirty year fall from the top of the world to a struggling and broke superpower owned by the rich and powerful. How does it feel to have been such dupes?

I was a dupe once too, voted for Reagan twice in fact. Then I went to college and travelled and learned that republican philosophy serves the rich at the expense of everyone else. Someday you’ll realize it too I’m sure, if you get the kinds of opportunities to see the world that I have had.

    Shiteinthemouth spewed:

Pretty much all of America, if you’d been paying attention.

    The middle class is gone

Uh, no it’s not. I happen to be a memer of said extinct middle class.

replaced by two worker household that struggle to make ends meet live a btter tlife than their parents had ever imagined, in a house larger than their parents ever owned

    Fixed it for ya, numbnutz

Meanwhile the richest 5% have TRIPLED their wealth since 1980. They got the mine and you got the shaft.

Mmmmm, class envy, it’s what’s for dinner. Thanks for your faux concern for the rest of us poor schlubs, who apparently ‘got the shaft,’ but it’s not needed. Since you deign to speak for a huge expanse of the population, allow me to do the same: “We’re doing just fine, ass-face.”

Your leaders gave convinced you that you share the interests of the rich (people like me)

Holy cow, are you ever full of shit! You’re rich, and I’m a Chippendales dancer. Kindly stuff your condecension squarley up your poop-chute and rotate it bub. By the way, o ignorant one, who do you think provides all the friggin jobs in this country? It’s the so-called ‘rich!’ Your ignorance knows no bounds.

“,i>How does it feel to have been such dupes?

I don’t know, Mr. Obama voter, why don’t you tell us?

I was a dupe once too, voted for Reagan twice in fact.

Must you insist on lying right to our face? Who do you think you’re fooling? You voted for Reagan twice, and I landed on the fucking moon twice.

Then I went to college and travelled and learned that republican philosophy serves the rich at the expense of everyone else.

If by ‘traveling,’ you mean leaving your mother’s basement, that doesn’t count skippy. And if you want to know which party serves the ‘rich and powerful’ you might want to check the roster of Dems in Congress and their supporters on Opensecrets.org. The Demoncrats are the party of the rich. John F. Kerry ring a bell? Howsabout the Kennedy Clan? yeah, real down-to-earth folks there.

Someday you’ll realize it too I’m sure, if you get the kinds of opportunities to see the world that I have had.”

I daresy, nutmuncher, that I have seen much more of the world than you’ve seen on your mommy’s tv in your little basement apartment (I hear reception in really bad down there, so your choices are limited to PBS and NBC). I know young Airmen, Soldiers, Marines and Sailors that have seen more of the world than you ever dreamed of, you sanctimonious little poser, and they’re younger and more accomplished than you will ever be.

    Go sit on a chainsaw.

Here’s the problem with class warfare, kids:

    It’s inherently unjust.

I can sympathize — to an extent — being frustrated with people with more money than sense. But how, exactly, do you justify telling the guy who just made millions off a new widget he came up with in his garage workshop, ‘You don’t need that money, that guy over there does’?

ESPECIALLY if ‘that guy’ isn’t struggling, he’s just a lazy bum who expects a handout.

It kills ambition. It destroys the whole idea of the American Dream, and it attempts to restore not some socialist utopia, but a feudal autocracy, where the chosen few want for nothing while the masses will labor all their lives and NEVER have a chance to ascend.

The world is not fair. There is no justice except what we try to make, every day. To misquote Terry Pratchett: there is no justice — there’s only ‘just us’.

Oh, and AF_Vet: thank you for your service. I feel the need to end this post on a high note, since I’ve been on a roll today :D

    Stupidity.

Is Harry Reid’s Ivory Tower Padded?

I have a bigger question. Is the GOP’s Ivory Tower Padded?

The GOP chose GOP Representative Parker Griffith (who is a doctor) deliver the GOP response to Obama’s weekly radio address pushing Obamacare. Great, but this is what the GOP had to say about Rep Parker Griffith in 2008.

“What kind of man is Parker Griffith? An indpendent medical review tells you all you need to know. Numerous internal complaints were lodged about the care Griffith was providing. Griffith was warehousing cancer patients, under dosing them so he could make more profits through protacted treatments. His approach caused unwarranted pain and suffering. But it meant more money for him.”

So, the GOP accuses a doctor of being a virtual quack who puts his own monetary interests above the well being of his patients and then asks that same person who is now a GOP Congressman to deliver the GOP counter response to Obama’s push for Obamacare? That is the clearest example of political insanity as I have ever witnessed. Its time to put the GOP on the anti psychotic drug resperidol.

    Intellectually inferior agitprop.

  • http://networdblog.blogspot.com/ Christopher_Taylor

POS, oh sorry PSO posts as if he thinks conservatives here adore and love the GOP, which we don’t. I’m not sure who he thinks he’s talking to, but since its hoggo, I know he’s a leftist Obama lover so his agenda is probably meant to demoralize conservatives and prevent Republican victories.

  • Power_System_Oper

What is so sacred here about the GOP anyway? This blog is Right Wing News, not Repbulican Wing News. Actually I do get the impression that many RWN OP”s and contributors have a bias in favor of the Republican Party. I’ve never understood the concept of finding value in joining up with someone who will cheat on you part of the time vs someone who will cheat on you all of the time. I want to join up with someone who will be loyal to me all of the time. That is why I present a a balanced view in many of my comments which details how the GOP has shafted conservatives in the past and continues to shaft conservatives to this present day (especially fiscal conservatives).
