Delusional Julianne Moore Launches Gun Control Group, Says Founding Fathers Would Agree

Spare me. This woman is such an airhead. Julianne Moore just launched a new Bloomberg-tied gun control group called Everytown Creative Council. Nice vague name you got there. Moore says she launched it because of the Sandy Hook shooting. Took her long enough. The stupid thing is that her main goal is to secure background checks that were already in place when that shooting occurred. That won’t and didn’t stop anything or anyone from killing. But she nevertheless started her lame, constitution-shredding group and called all her celebrity friends to join her. So far, she has 79 of them on board. And people wonder why Americans despise Hollywood. You’ll recognize some of her buds: J.J. Abrams, Christina Applegate, Judd Apatow, Kevin Bacon, Kristen Bell, Steve Carell, Jessica Chastain, Lee Daniels, Ellen DeGeneres, Kirsten Dunst, Melissa Joan Hart, Steve Levitan, Jennifer Lawrence, Meg Ryan, Amy Schumer, Russell Simmons, Liv Tyler, Reese Witherspoon and a whole bunch of other self-righteous liberals who have no clue what it means to have freedom or to be able to protect yourself and your loved ones.

Julianne Moore

From Breitbart:

On October 13, People magazine reported that actress Julianne Moore launched a gun control group under the auspices of Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety, then began calling fellow actors and actresses and entreating them to join the group.

The name of Moore’s group is Everytown Creative Council, and it shares an internet address with Bloomberg’s other gun control groups.

According to People magazine, Moore decided to launch the gun control group because of the attack on Sandy Hook Elementary in 2012. Ironically, the group’s main push will be to secure background checks–the very background checks which were already in place in Connecticut but did not stop Adam Lanza from carrying out his heinous attack on Sandy Hook children and adults.

In fact, the U.S. has had background checks since 1998 and the majority of our nation’s mass public attackers passed one to acquire the guns they used to carry out their evil deeds. For example, Chris Harper Mercer passed a background check for the guns he used at Umpqua Community College on October 1, just as Vester Lee Flanagan passed a background check for the gun he used to kill a reporter during an on-air interview on August 26.

And these two gunman are not anomalies. Rather, other attackers and alleged attackers who passed background checks for their firearms include John Russell Houser (Lafayette), Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez (Chattanooga), Dylann Roof (Charleston), Elton Simpson and Nadir Soofi (Garland), Jared and Amanda Miller (Las Vegas), Elliot Rodger (Santa Barabara), Ivan Lopez (Fort Hood 2014), Darion Marcus Aguilar (Maryland mall), Karl Halverson Pierson (Arapahoe High School), Paul Ciancia (LAX), Andrew John Engeldinger (Minneapolis), Aaron Alexis (DC Navy Yard), Tennis Melvin Maynard (West Virginia), Wade Michael Page (Sikh Temple), James Holmes (Aurora theater), Jared Loughner (Tucson), Nidal Hasan (Fort Hood 2009), Jiverly Wong (Binghamton), Seung-Hui Cho (Virginia Tech), Naveed Haq (Seattle), and Mark Barton (Atlanta).

In truth it is harder to name a mass shooter from the last 15 years who did not pass a background check than it is to name one who did. Yet Julianne Moore has formed a gun control group focused on expanding background checks to more gun sales, as if expanding something that does not work will somehow make it work.

Moore said she got on the phone after launching her gun control group and began calling fellow celebrities, asking them to “please” be part of the gun control push. The Everytown Creative Council webpage shows that J.J. Abrams, Christina Applegate, Judd Apatow, Kevin Bacon, Kristen Bell, Steve Carell, Jessica Chastain, Lee Daniels, Ellen DeGeneres, Kirsten Dunst, Melissa Joan Hart, Steve Levitan, Jennifer Lawrence, Meg Ryan, Amy Schumer, Russell Simmons, Liv Tyler, Reese Witherspoon, and numerous others jumped on board.

In told, 79 celebrities have signed on to force every would-be gun purchaser to pass the same background check the Oregon gunman passed for his guns.

Moore is elated. So elated, in fact, that she claims the Founding Fathers would agree with her gun control push. She said, “With all of these rights that we have in our Constitution come a great deal of responsibility, and I think the founding fathers would agree with me.”

This woman had the nerve to say the Founding Fathers would agree with her. More likely, they would have tarred and feathered her. She wouldn’t know a constitutional right if it smacked her in that airy head of hers. She’s delusional. True responsibility is being armed and ready to protect those around you from shooters like the ones who inspired her group. She has no clue that what she is advocating is more murder and crime, because she doesn’t have the brain cells to think that deeply. Common sense and logic are lost on Julianne Moore. She’s been living in a pretend world for so long, she has no idea what the real world is anymore. Neither does most of Hollywood.
