Eric Holder Has Announced That He Intends To Step Down

It’s like the Godfather has decided to hand over control of the mob to a trusted associate — and you can be sure it will be someone that Holder trusts. The last thing they need in the Obama Administration is someone running the Department of Justice who actually cares about justice more than protecting Holder and Obama.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will step down this year, he said in an interview with the New Yorker’s Jeffrey Toobin in the magazine’s Feb. 17 edition.

In a feature article, Mr. Holder said he plans on staying in his position “well into” the year.

Last November, Mr. Holder, the first black attorney general, told CBS News he didn’t have “any plans” to step down.

What changed? It’s hard to say for sure, but you can certainly expect Republicans in the House to suddenly get very interested in the Obama administration’s scandals in the summer of 2014, just before the election. So could it be that Holder is resigning because he knew about Fast and Furious? That seems entirely possible. In any case, Holder has been just as bad of an Attorney General as Obama has been a President. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
