If You Were A Democrat In Congress, What Would Your First Domestic Priority Be?
Written By : McQ

Health care reform?

Cap-and-trade?

Or, perhaps, economic recovery and jobs?

On Thursday, Obama’s economic adviser Christina Romer told Congress the administration agrees with other analysts that the economy will grow in the third quarter, and beyond. Even so, she said, “unemployment is likely to remain at its severely elevated level,” and noted expectations that few jobs will be added through the third quarter of 2010.

And what happens during the 4th quarter of 2010?

So why are Democrats fiddling with health care reform and cap-and-trade instead of the economy and jobs?

All I can figure is the radical element which controls the leadership in Congress right now see the small window they have to push this garbage through more important than putting policies in place which would enable economic recovery and create jobs.

Politics over people.

    "Politics over people."

Gee, what was your first clue?

  • BIG

If this is the case, why spend the rest of the stimulus money earmarked for next year if it is not going to create jobs? I thought that was the idea behind the trillion must pass right this second legislation?

Reinstate the fairness doctrine is what I would do.

So long to claims of being fair and balanced by a network that is neither.

If I were a Democrat in congress? Given I was a Democrat, I'd be most concerned about what would drive the most radical leftist agenda which destroyed America as the founding fathers envisioned and built it, and replacing it with a socialist monstrosity that is continually revealed to be a gigantic failure around the world daily.

And if I was a Democrat politician in congress, I'd be most concerned about keeping my job, getting as rich as possible, and ignoring the US public.

Which is why I'm not a Democrat or a congressman.

Nixon would immediately move that a special prosecutor be appointed to investigate the MSM in its incarnations MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and CNBC and their ties to this administration, specifically their receiving and parroting the administrations talking points daily. Also, Soros's money train would be investigated, and the dealings between GE and Russia secured by the abandonment of our Eastern Europe allies.

Media corruption. Rampant in the MSM with this corrupt Administration.

What happens in the fourth quarter of 2010?

    an election. Duh.

Starting about September, jobs will be sprouting up like dandelions. Everyone will be so happy to be back at work, being able to answer the phone without being harassed by bill collectors they'll vote everything Dem.

So there. Fooled you, huh? No one will ever figure this out!!

See how many votes $787Bazillion can buy!

Yeah, that's what the media will tell everyone. The problem is, when you don't have a job, your buddies don't have a job, and your brother got tossed out of his house because he couldn't keep up payments…. no amount of legacy media spin will matter.

"Dick Cheney responded with one word in a recent interview when he was asked what he thought about polls that indicate two-thirds of Americans believe the war in Iraq was not worth fighting, that the cost in lives was not worth the gains.

    One single word!

    “So?” the vice president said."

So (pun intended) Dickie's Halliburton stock is doing pretty good, get rich check.

Keeping the job, second term check.

Ignoring the public (see quote above) Check.

Christopher we are talking about dems not rethugs.

Did he do anything to earn said stock or did he inherit his wealth like the Kennedy's? And you liberals claim the polls opposing government health care mean nothing to the discussion. Make up your mind, dufus.

Can just ignore this new one, Nixon. His troll-fu is very weak, Axelrod needs to get a new team of Justice Department trolls.
