Joe Biden: Not As Generous With His Own Money As He Is With Yours

Even though he made over 300 thousand dollars : last : year and knew that people would see his tax returns, Joe Biden gave very little money to charity last year,

Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and his wife, Jill, earned $333,000 in 2009, and gave $4,820 — 1.44 percent — of that to charity in cash or in-kind donations, according to their newly released tax forms.

Estimates by charitable organizations show that most givers donate between 3 and 5 percent of their income.

Biden’s stinginess is rather notable given that he’s notorious for saying the following abour raising taxes:

It’s time to be patriotic…time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut,

Of course, linking high taxes:  to : patriotism is utterly un-American horseflop that runs counter to everything this country is about. After all, we’re descended from revolutionaries who went to war with the reigning super power of their day, in large part, over tax issues.

But, here’s the real kicker: Liberals like Joe Biden have all sorts of things they want to do with YOUR MONEY. They want to waste it, they want:  to:  give it to bureaucrats, they want:  to:  find ways to get it to their campaign contributors, and then they declare themselves to be compassionate : because they give some of your money to people who they hope will vote for them in return.

Yet when it comes to actually putting their money where their mouth is and spending their income on charity, studies consistently show that conservatives are more generous.

When Joe Biden becomes as charitable as say, Dick Cheney, who’s:  : given more money and a higher percentage of his income to charity than Biden ever has or will in his lifetime, then maybe Joe Biden can start shooting off his big mouth about how other people aren’t patriotic because they don’t want to give him more money to fritter away.
