Somewhat related is the fact the supporters of Prop 8 in California not only received threats, but were also attacked, vandalized, and lost jobs. There's a debate underway about people who sign petitions wanting to keep their identity secret out of fear of retaliation. Based on the documented history of liberals, any conservative has a legitimate right to be concerned about their personal safety (don't you just love “tolerance” in action?). Add to this list threats against this judge.

For anyone who thinks signers of petitions should have their names publicized, do you also agree that everyone should be required to post a sign on their lawn indicating their sexual preference? You'd probably say no due to the fear of assault. Yet conservatives are not afforded the same rights. Yes, all are created equal, but some are more equal than others.

First you guys complain about how vicious American politics has become and then you blame it all on liberals – ignoring the malice, dishonest allegations and sheer viciousness that was directed against the Clintons – and since the Clintons, Gore and Kerry and Barney Frank and a bunch of others. Remember the allegations that Clinton had an assistant White House counsel murdered?

Before the swamp creatures come out, that is NOT a defense of liberals. The point is that the poison has spread clear across the whole political spectrum and it now seems that no one is immune. Blaming “liberals” for being vicious is nothing but partisanship and ignores the equal – and equally reprehensible – viciousness on the conservative side. Nor is that an attack on Conservatives – while some are vicious the great majority are not – and the same is true of the great majority of those on the liberal / Democratic side. But the few extremists on both sides are poisoning the entire public debate and political process.

OK, I'm old enough and nostalgic enough to yearn for the days when people like Everett Dirksen, Hubert Humphrey, Jacob Javits, Richard Russell and William Fulbright could disagree on policy issues without descending into deliberate dishonesty, blind partisanship and gross hypocrisy. I detest – loath – people like Michelle Bachman and Maxine Waters – Karl Rove and Rahm Emmanuel – Van Helsing /Huston and Arianna Huffington / Daily Kos – who constantly make it harder for our political process to work the way it should.

And Mr Teach, you should know better than to throw gasoline on the fire.

Let's see, when taken together with the news that a Spanish academic who produced a report critical of their national green jobs programme had one of the “green” energy companies send him bomb parts as a message that he's on their sh*t list, we get a pretty clear picture that at least some of our leftist colleagues are at heart frustrated tyrants who will stoop to threats of violence to accomplish their “hopey-changey” agenda.

Nice to know all that talk of peace, love and unity is really just a bunch of mule fritters.
